It's time to talk about who embodied on the screens the images of the Gallagher family, as well as those from their environment who came to the fore in the 6th season.
William Macy - Frank Gallager
William Macy plays the role of Frank Gallagher, the head of the family, in the series Shameless. The cast and roles are perfectly matched, and Mr. Macy is the prime example. The unpleasant image of an alcoholic father, who cares little for anything other than his addiction, was a success for him. At the same time, from the point of view of art, Frank is the most colorful character. And besides, if not for him, the Shameless ones themselves would not have existed.
Over the 38 years of his activity in the acting field, William Macy has achieved a lot, in particular now, except for “Shameless”, he can be seen in the serial adaptation of “Fargo”.
Emmy Rossam - Fiona Gallager
The oldest in the family, Fiona, in reality is twenty-nine-year-old actress Emmy Rossam, talented and beautiful. In addition to the acting gift, Emmy is also subservient to singing, not to mention the fact that she dances beautifully (this was also shown in the series "Shameless"). Season 6 (the cast of the series does not change much with the seasons) revealed the next drama of her heroine, and Miss Rossam coped with her perfectly, just as Fiona herself always coped with the responsibility of caring for her family.
Jeremy Allen White - Philip "Lip" Gallager
The smartest in the family, Lipa, was played by Jeremy Allen White, who has incredible charisma. In one episode of Shameless, they tell him that he looks like self-portraits of Egon Schiele, and there seems to be something to it. At least White managed to convey that "anxiety in the look" of Lipa, who has to break into the high society, and he is not even sure if he wants it.
For Jeremy himself, the series “Shameless” became a ticket to a big movie and brought popularity. Previously, it could only be seen in amateur paintings.
Cameron Monaghan - Ian Gallager
Through the image of Ian, screenwriters tell the story of a homosexual guy with bipolar disorder. For six seasons, Cameron had to play different things - a purposeful boy who wants to be a soldier, a teenager whose life has been derailed, and he is trying to forget himself in parties, so that at least the outer gloss conceals the inner fragments of a mentally ill person who is going to pieces in pieces. Monaghan’s talent was noticed not only in the series “Shameless” - the cast of “Gotham” also accepted him into its ranks, and in one of the main roles.
By the way, about the orientation of the actor - no, Cameron himself is not gay.
Emma Kinney - Deborah "Debbie" Gallager
The young actress Emma Kinney got the role of Debbie at 10, so for six years, viewers can watch not only how the younger Gallager grows, but also the talent of the girl who played her. If in the first three seasons, Deborah appears to be just a sweet, kind and caring girl, then in the subsequent Emma shows herself more - the story of her character, deep psychological problems, the formation of the personality of a teenager, are revealed.
Ethan Katkoski - Carl Gallager
The situation is similar with Ethan Katkoski - on the set of "Shameless" he is experiencing his puberty and plays on the screens. Ethan's character, Carl, is also very interesting. “Criminal”, a guy reckless and rude, he nevertheless always stands by the mountain for his loved ones, and closer to the sixth season, he manifests himself at all as a very mature person.
"Shameless" is Ethan's only project to date, but, apparently, he will still show himself.
Shanola Hampton - Veronica Vee Fisher
Fiona's best friend, Vee, was played by Shanola Hampton. By the age of 38, Shanola managed to light up in many successful projects, she showed herself well in the series "Shameless". The cast (photo see article) is very bright here, and Miss Hampton is a wonderful addition to it. Without a groovy Wi, nowhere!
Steve Howie - Kevin "Kev" Ball
Steve Howie plays the unofficial husband of Veronica, Keva - verzilu with a wide soul and kind heart. Little is known about the actor - he is laconic, but it’s very difficult not to notice him in “Shameless”, he immediately provokes sympathy.
Isidora (Isadora) Goreshter - Svetlana Milkovich (Fisher)
Isidora originally appeared in Shameless, being a minor character. But her heroine Svetlana by the sixth season has gained great influence, playing now almost the main role. A Russian prostitute, a bisexual woman who in the fourth season was the wife of a guy Ian, and later married to Veronica, is currently one of the most beloved heroines (especially Russian fans). Isidora herself played in few places - basically, only in a couple of episodes of several series.
