In order for the product to be in demand, manufacturing companies spend a lot of money. Conducting advertising campaigns, promoting goods by other methods is not always effective. One option is direct sales, which began to develop actively in the early nineties.

It was during these turbulent years that the first companies of this type began to appear in the post-Soviet space. What exactly distinguishes this activity? First of all, direct sales are direct contact between the manufacturer and the consumer. Indeed, thanks to the distributor, who directly represents the trading company, the goods fall to the buyer. To do this, you do not need to go to a special store or to the market, because distributors work mainly at the place of residence or employment of the consumer.

Although direct sales are often confused with financial pyramids, they have nothing to do with them. After all, companies engaged in this activity distribute real goods, and not unjustified shares.

Basically, the direct sales method is used in their activities by cosmetics, as well as companies engaged in household chemicals. Thanks to the direct sales method, such well-known companies as Avon, Oriflame, Amway and several others have achieved success.

A distinctive feature that is endowed with direct sales is the ability of each person to realize himself in the business sphere. In particular, this applies to distributors. After all, a person who is engaged in direct sales can easily combine this work with the main one, and at the same time receive significant income.

For consumers, the main advantage of direct sales is quality service, personal communication with a company representative, and also a guarantee that if the goods do not suit you, it can be exchanged or returned.

Direct sales not only contribute to the active distribution of goods, but also provide an opportunity to be realized. Most representatives of such companies are women. This gives them the opportunity not only to work, but also to achieve more and more heights in their careers.

The main principle of direct sales: the more you work, the more you will achieve. If you diligently pursue your goal, then you can go from a regular distributor to the director of a branch, and this will significantly increase wages.

When employing, there is no need to undergo lengthy interviews and training courses, because direct sales do not require special special knowledge. However, you can take courses, attend trainings and classes that are conducted directly by companies and often at their expense. Thus, specialists are formed who are well versed in certain knowledge in this area, in particular, in the psychology of consumption.

Often a woman, starting work as a distributor, does not find support from the family, but, as practice shows, in the future this situation changes. After all, income is growing and, therefore, gives a certain independence, in particular, financial. There are frequent cases when family members join this activity and this becomes their common cause.

If we talk about the disadvantages of direct sales, then they are the same as in all other types of activities, but there are not so many of them. In particular, a person engaged in direct sales must clearly implement a marketing plan and sell products for a certain amount.

Another disadvantage is that the work is mainly based on a civil contract, and not on a labor contract. And this means that the company does not provide its employees with a package of social guarantees.

But, nevertheless, every day the segment where direct sales are used is growing. This is not only cosmetics, but also hygiene products, dishes, dietary supplements and many other products.
