Fele Martinez is one of the most famous and popular actors of Spanish cinema.
The early years and early careers
Fele Martinez was born in Alicante on February 22, 1975. At the age of 18, he began to prepare for an acting career, enrolling in the Higher School of Dramatic Art in Madrid. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Sex peare theater, where he received his first experience of playing on stage.
Martinez’s path to acting began with the unusual thriller Alejandro Amenabaro “Thesis”, the director noticed a young actor when he was still in his second year at the School of Dramatic Art. For playing the role in this film, the actor received the national Goya Award in 1996. From this moment, Fele became one of the most famous personalities of Spanish cinema.

Fele Martinez starred in more than 20 films, the most prominent of which were: Open Your Eyes, Lovers of the Arctic Circle, The Art of Dying, April Captains, Serenade of Darkness, and Bad Education.
Fele's roles are very diverse: waiters, lawyers, gays, students, airplane pilots, photographers. So, in the 2008 film "El Kaserón" he plays a new lawyer who needs to evict several residents of the house; in the film "Carmo" - the role of a merchant of stolen goods, leading a dangerous life with a young Brazilian woman; in the film Unsatisfied Sexual Desire - the role of a professor trying to get his ex-girlfriend back with the help of one of his students.
Fele also participated in various independent and short film projects, including the film Pasaya, which brought Martinez a prize for Best Actor at the International Independent Film Festival in Elche.
For several episodes, the actor played the role of Mario, the Irene guy, in the popular television series 2008, Physics or Chemistry, but plot twists forced Fele to leave the series.
This was followed by a short film by the Spanish director Mateo Gil “Tell me”, in which the actor played a leading role. For work in this tape, Martinez was nominated as Best Actor, and Mateo Gil received the award for Best Director at the Islantilla Film Festival in 2009. At this film festival, another film featuring Fele was presented - the film Comeparedes of Nuria de la Torre.
In 2010, Martinez was busy with several projects at once. In addition to filming the TV series The Runaways and the comedy film Revenge of Don Mendo, he also became interested in music and culinary art. Fele is a member of the musical group Ciruelas, where he plays as a bass player. In addition, this year, together with his colleagues, he opened a shop selling French delicacies (cheeses, foie gras, wines, pastes, snails).
In 2012, in Los Angeles, the actor received the award for Best Actor for his role in the film Sal directed by Diego Shotgun.
Personal life
Fele Martinez is very fond of animals. He has been living with Labrador Spiney for many years. When in September 2017 the dog had to undergo a risky operation, the actor was very worried and asked for the support of his fans on Twitter.
