The princess was born on November 10, 1908, nine years before the October Revolution.

From an early age, Urusova went to classes at Margarita Zelenina's private school. Among the patrons of Edvokia was Nadezhda Vakhtangova - the wife of the Soviet actor and theater director Yevgeny Bagrationovich. Even without graduating from school, Ed Urusova passed the entrance exams in the studio of the Art Theater, however, the girl was still offered to get a secondary education.

Since 1917, Evdokia Urusova studied at the Institute of Noble Maidens. Its graduates were to become the elite of bourgeois Russia after the Soviet system collapsed, however, in 1922 the institute was closed by the Communists. The education that Ed Urusova and other graduates of the Institute of Noble Maidens received did not meet Soviet standards.

Evdokia Urusova was fond of many things; for example, ballet, singing, horseback riding, and also often took part in the filming of silent films with the goal of making money and supporting her family.

In 1925, Eda Urusova managed to enter the studio of Ermolova at the Maly Theater on the course of Sergei Vasilievich Aidarov. There, her teachers were Leshkovskaya and Kostroma. After graduating from the studio, Evdokia Urusova went to work in the Moscow Theater named after Maria Nikolaevna Ermolova.

In June 1938, Evdokia was first arrested in Moscow. If you believe the rumors, the arrest was due to the fact that the girl refused to sign the denunciation of the party organizer of the theater to actor Alexander Ivanovich Demich. At that time, the husband of Evdokia, Mikhail Unkovsky, was also arrested.

Actress Evdokia Urusov was sentenced to ten years. The girl was serving her term in the Bureninsky point of Dallag; there they met with Alexander Demich.

Then Evdokia worked as a milkmaid, after - as an accountant. The girl was released ahead of schedule, and Ed Urusova decided to go to work in the Uglich Theater.

The second time Evdokia was arrested after eleven years - in 1949. The arrest took place right on the stage, the girl was sent into exile.

A year later, in the spring of 1950, the actors working in the Norilsk Theater, learned about the sad situation of Evdokia Urusova, arranged that call to Norilsk. There, the girl worked with Smoktunovsky Innocent Mikhailovich and Zhzhenov Georgy Stepanovich.

At the time that Evdokia was in the camps, she was organizing theaters, gave performances in Khabarovsk and other cities. In the camps, her mother and father died, her sister and husband - Mikhail Semenovich Unkovsky.

Five years later, having rehabilitated herself and recovering from those terrible events, the actress Eda Urusova returned to the capital and again decided to work in her native theater, in which she played more than two hundred roles. Until the last Ed Urusova was faithful to her work - despite her venerable age and difficult fate, Evdokia continued to play in the theater.

The artist died on December 23 in 1996. The Soviet actress and People's Artist of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Urusova Evdokia Yuryevna was buried in the Vvedensky cemetery, located in the Lefortovo district of Moscow.

For her long but eventful life, the actress Evdokia Urusova was married twice. The actress's first husband was Mikhail Semenovich Unkovsky, who is the grandson of the man who founded the Russian violin school. Mikhail graduated from the theatrical studio named after Maria Nikolaevna Ermolova, and since 1929 he began working at the Khmelev studio in Moscow.

The second marriage after the death of her first husband, the actress concluded with Alexander Ivanovich Blokhin. Evdokia Urusova met him at the place of her imprisonment. Alexander Blokhin is the son of an important person at the Bolshoi Theater. His father, Ivan Blokhin, worked in him as a dancer and soloist, and Alexander's mother, Maria Klementyeva, was an Honored Artist of the RSFSR and worked as a choreographer.

In his first marriage, Evdokia had a son - Yuri Mikhailovich Unkovsky.
