Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye - one of the famous heroes of the Marvel comics, a former agent of the organization S.H.I.T. and a member of the team of superheroes known as the Avengers. The character's full name is Clinton Francis Barton, but is not used in films.
Despite the fact that film adaptations often sin by simplifying the stories of their characters and changing important plot twists, Clint Barton is one of those heroes whose life on the screen is no less interesting than on the pages of comics.
Life before the Avengers
Clint Barton, who proved himself to be a well-aimed shooter and disciplined operative, carried out the most difficult and dangerous missions at the S.H.I.T. agency, dealing with criminals and supervillains. Often he had to be in the shoes of a hit man. For example, one day he received an order to kill a woman who worked under the pseudonym Black Widow and was a Russian spy. However, her Clint did not liquidate. On the contrary, getting to know her and finding out her real name, Barton helped Natasha Romanoff go to serve in Shch.I.T. and became her brother in arms and reliable partner.
For colleagues, Clint Barton has always been a "lone wolf." Almost no one knew that, before joining the ranks of secret agents, he agreed with the director of the organization, Sch.I.T. Nick Fury that his family will be kept secret from everyone, protected in case of danger, and not abandoned if Clinton dies. When Thor's Hammer was discovered in New Mexico, Hawkeye, along with other agents, was appointed a member of the Fall Crater Guards. He saw with his own eyes Thor, who came to return his weapon, and even kept it "on the fly."
Avengers: Battle of New York and Age of Ultron
After the battle and destruction in New Mexico, when both gods from another world left Earth, Clint Barton was one of the defenders of Tesseract. He was present next to him during the appearance of Loki, who took advantage of Clint and captured his consciousness. Hawkeye became his mercenary and bodyguard, carrying out various orders of a dangerous god and committing murders.
Natasha Romanoff became aware of this and, interrupting one of the missions in order to save her best friend, she went in search of him. After the fight with Natasha, Clint returned to his memory, and Loki's forces no longer owned his mind. Wanting to avenge his enslavement and prevent him from capturing the Earth, Barton joined the Avengers in the battle with the Chitauri who attacked Manhattan.
The next time the Avengers team unites to find Loki's stolen staff. Traces will lead them to the small country of Zokovia, where the base of the Hydra criminal organization is located. In a fierce battle, they managed to return the artifact, but Clint Barton was seriously wounded. Fortunately, upon his return to New York, he was successfully healed.
After the creation by Tony Stark and Bruce Benner of Ultron, who did not want to obey people, Hawkeye returned to the Avengers and began to fight the distraught artificial intelligence with them. After several unsuccessful battles, the Avengers decided to go into the shadows for a while. Barton allowed them to hide in the house where he lives with a family that no one knew except Natasha.
In the last duel with Ultron, Clint fought shoulder to shoulder with the Scarlet Witch, urging her to protect her homeland, and was saved by her brother Mercury from death. Having fallen under machine gun fire and dying, Mercury still managed to save Clint and the little boy, the son of a local resident.
Combat skills
Hawkeye's main talent is his unmatched marksmanship. A bow for him is like an extension of a hand that obeys faithfully and does not fail its master. It was the virtuoso possession of weapons that made Clint a full member of the Avengers team before the agency Sch.I.T. crashed, one of its main operational staff.
Of Barton's other abilities, the most useful in saving the world are:
- mastery of both bow and crossbow;
- sharp vision and hearing, allowing you to shoot at the enemy without looking at him at all, which helped him a great deal in the battle with the chitari during the Battle of Manhattan;
- the ability to pilot quintets acquired during his service at the agency S.H.I.T.
Movie appearances
For the first time Hawkeye (Clint Barton) appeared on the screen in the movie "Thor", and then - in both parts of the epic "Avengers". Clint Barton was performed by actor Jeremy Renner.
Despite the fact that some fans of Marvel comics were initially skeptical of his choice for this role, in the end he won their love. And even made me worry when, before the shooting of the second part, there was a rumor that the actor would be replaced. As a result, Renner again embodied in Hawkeye, which in the new film was shown to the viewer from an unexpected direction, "introducing" his wife Laura and two children - Cooper and Lila.
Clint Barton also appears in Captain America: Civil War. The film tells about the struggle between superheroes, and Barton has to stand on the side of Steve Rogers to join the battle with many of his friends yesterday. Among them is Natasha Romanoff, in whose honor he and his wife named their son Nathaniel.
