Laser liposuction: reviews confirm the high efficiency of the procedure

Laser liposuction is an innovative technique that effectively eliminates fat deposits not only on the hips, waist and buttocks, but also in places that cannot be fixed with traditional liposuction. These include the area above and below the knees, the upper part of the face, etc. The cost of liposuction of the abdomen or other parts of the body using a laser is discussed individually in each case, since it depends on the severity of the fat layer and some other factors.

Traditional liposuction, in which fat is removed from under the skin using a vacuum tube (cannula), is a rather painful procedure. It is usually performed under general anesthesia, and hematomas, bumps and scars form after it. In addition, sagging skin and numbness of its individual areas are particular unpleasant consequences of vacuum liposuction. In contrast to this technology, laser liposuction (reviews confirm this) is less traumatic. This procedure is not accompanied by severe pain and is performed under local anesthesia.

Laser liposuction, reviews of which prove its high efficiency, is carried out using miniature needle-cannulas with a diameter of 1 - 2 mm. A laser beam passing through a channel in a needle destroys adipose tissue. In this case, subcutaneous fat melts to a liquid state. When fat cells are destroyed, the laser beam simultaneously “seals” the blood vessels, thereby reducing the likelihood of bleeding and the appearance of extensive hematomas. Laser liposuction, reviews of which confirm the rather sparing effect of this procedure on the skin and subcutaneous fat, can thus significantly reduce the patient's rehabilitation period. He can go home the same day, and go to work in two days. The session itself is held for two to three hours.

Laser liposuction of the body is often called “sculptural plastic surgery”: this subtle technique allows you to correct even small irregularities that have arisen, including after conventional liposuction. The main advantage of this technology is the skin tightening accompanying the destruction of fat cells from the inside, which helps to avoid sagging. Therefore, laser liposuction (reviews indicate excellent results of its use) is especially indicated for patients older than thirty-five years: the skin at this age already begins to lose its elasticity, and it will be difficult for it to “tighten” in shape, after the body volume decreases. This is especially true for areas of the inner surface of the thighs and hands, on which the skin sags most often after traditional liposuction.

Like any other technique, laser liposuction has contraindications. This is, first of all, pregnancy and lactation, endocrine diseases, acute infectious diseases, allergic rashes or dermatitis. There are age restrictions for its implementation: for example, patients under the age of 18 are not allowed to undergo laser liposuction. In addition, during this procedure, you can remove only up to 500 ml of adipose tissue. If it is necessary to remove it from 500 to 1000 ml or more, resort to the traditional method. However, in some cases it is easier and easier to undergo several laser liposuction procedures: the possibility of such a solution to the problem should be discussed with a plastic surgeon. It should also be understood that laser liposuction, the cost of which depends on the volume of fat removed, does not cure obesity - it only allows you to correct the shape of a figure or face in the most problematic places.

After the procedure, it is necessary to avoid physical exertion, as well as overheating and hypothermia for at least two weeks. The patient is usually prescribed antibiotics to avoid inflammation in the puncture area. Repeated liposuction is possible no earlier than after two to three months.
