In 2006, most cinemas were screened for the first time by Brian Singer's Superman Returns. This film did not become a masterpiece of world cinema, but still took its place in the history of world culture and film comics in particular.
Who is Superman?
The film tells us about the most famous comic book character in the world - Superman. It is his image that many children, and maybe adults, represent at the word "superhero." And this is not surprising, because the name of Superman speaks for itself. The image was invented back in 1938 by the writer Jerry Siegel and illustrator Joe Schuster.
After many years, the character experienced many changes and restarts of his story, but the 2006 film retained the main detail, for which they make fun of Superman. And this reason is on the surface, or rather, Superman wears underwear over trousers. But if we ignore this fact and try to take the picture critically, it becomes clear that the film is a bit long and boring. However, ardent fans of Superman, this certainly does not hurt to get acquainted with the movie "Superman Returns". The actor, who embodied the main role, Brandon Routh, played very worthily and is generally suitable for the role of a superhero.
Some time later, he played another DC Comics character called Atom. Only it was already a low-budget series on the American television channel Sea Double, and not a full-length movie.
Actors of the movie "Superman. Return"
As already mentioned, Brandon Routh was selected for the lead role in the movie Superman Returns. His antagonist Lex Luther was talentedly embodied on the screen by Kevin Spacey. The link between the two sides was Superman's lover - Lois Lane. She was played by the popular movie star Kate Bosworth, for whom the film did not become a debut, because she began acting in feature films long before the film "Superman Returns".
Actor James Marsden played Superman rival in love - Richard White. In the film, Richard is the husband of Lois Lane, so his very existence does not please Clark Kent very much, but since he is a superhero, he fights for the heart of his beloved with honest methods.

In the films about Superman, his image more than once experienced death and return. Superman actors played a variety of actors - each with its own character and charisma, but one thing remained the same - his superhero essence, which he shows us an example to follow. - Lex Luthor's accomplice named Brutus was played by David Fabrizio.
In Russia, the film "Superman Returns" was dubbed by Alexei Myasnikov, Lyudmila Shuvalova, Sergey Bystritsky, Alexander Novikov and Marianna Schulz.
How did the public rate the film?
The film received a rating of film critics of 7.6 out of ten, but users of the Internet Movie Database website rated the movie at six point and one tenth on a ten-point scale, which is a slightly mediocre rating.
After the release of the film, many Superman fans, and DC Comics in particular, complained that the companies once again played on their feelings of love for the character, as well as on his popularity instead of working better on the film itself.
