Alexander Ryazantsev is a pupil of the sports school of the Olympic reserve of the capital “Torpedo”. He began his football career with the Torpedo-Metallurg youth team. A young budding player was invited to the club "CSKA", where he spoke for three years. In 2006, Alexander, as a free agent, transferred to the Rubin club where he played his debut match on March 19 in a meeting with the Rostov team. Starting next year, Ryazantsev turned into the main and indispensable central midfielder of Rubin, the team’s motor, a player who showed his leadership and scorer qualities.
In the 2007 season, he played 24 meetings, scored 6 goals. Ironically, he spent the first goal in the championship of Russia just at the gate of his previous club - FC “Moscow”. In the same year, Alexander scored the first European Cup goal. He fell into the Intertoto Cup match with the Vienna Rapid.
But the 2007 season itself was a failure for the Kazan club. The team at the end of the championship took 10th place. Ryazantsev scored his most memorable goal in his career in 2009. It was an away match of the Champions League tournament against the Spanish “Barcelona”. Already in the second minute of the meeting, Alexander hit the goal of the Catalans with the strongest long-range aiming strike. And although the Spaniards recouped (Zlatan Ibrahimovic equalized), Rubin was able to score the winning goal in the 73rd minute of the match. Thanks to this victory, the Kazan club was able to take 3rd place and break into the Europa League following the results of the group tournament.
According to the results of the Russian championship in 2009, Rubin became the champion for the second time, ahead of the closest pursuer, which was Moscow Spartak, by 8 points, and Ryazantsev himself was awarded the first personal recognition. He was included in the list of “33 best players of the Championship of the country”.
