General characteristics of the enterprise its objectives and purpose

Among the main elements that describes the characteristics of the enterprise can highlight the status and state of affairs, and the organizational structure of the enterprise. In the analysis of such characteristics, as a rule, they include: historical information on the establishment of the enterprise, legal status or legal form of ownership, materials on the analysis of the enterprise’s activities in all areas that are necessary for the functioning of the organization. In addition, the characteristics of the enterprise include the goals and objectives of the enterprise, their description, the scope of activities in the main areas, taking into account environmental factors and the specifics of the products or services provided by the enterprise, as well as the organizational structure of the units.

In addition, the characteristics of the enterprise also include an analysis of financial and economic activities. Although conducting such an analysis requires an organization to have a structure that can perform a serious analysis of all processes.

Among the results that the general characteristic of the enterprise produces, you can see a description of the subsystems that are in this company. From this it follows that each organization and enterprise is considered as a complex organism having an intertwined infrastructure of subsystems and channels.

Among the main subsystems that the general characteristic of the enterprise describes, the following can be distinguished:

- information-analytical - it consists in the collection and processing of useful information necessary for the successful operation of the enterprise, is divided into subspecies: information, accounting, research, planning, economic, marketing;

- administrative and management subsystem - is engaged in the management and coordination of all subsystems in a single structure, is also divided into subspecies in the direction of activity: promotion, stimulation, production and technology, and others;

- material and financial - provides the organization’s functionality at the material level - control of financial flows (purchases, sales, warehousing, etc.).

In this context, the characteristics of the enterprise can identify factors that impede the interaction and functioning of subsystems and channels in the enterprise. That is why it is recommended that the analysis be performed in a complex, and not separately. The main document that allows you to plan and perform such an analysis is the Charter of the enterprise, as well as the Memorandum of Association and other statutory documents and regulations that govern the procedures for the passage of various production and financial flows.

As one of the constituent parts of the characteristics of the enterprise is the organizational characteristics of the enterprise. It is the analysis and processing of the data obtained in compiling the results of such a characteristic that allows you to determine the effectiveness of the enterprise in the context of its organizational structure. This characteristic shows and reveals not only the organizational structure, but also the principles of management, and their effectiveness and compliance with the level of management in the enterprise.

At the end of the characteristics of the enterprise, computations that summarize the analysis necessarily follow. They indicate whether the organizational structure of the enterprise is suitable for its effective functioning, and if the structure does not meet any criteria, these reasons and possible ways to eliminate them must be indicated.

As regards the general characteristics of the enterprise, it also at the end has a conclusion which determines the degree of effectiveness of all the parameters by which the analysis was conducted, the causes of inefficiency and possible options for their elimination.
