This film, lasting only 81 minutes, laid the foundation for a whole bunch of adaptations of the works of Anatoly Rybakov about Sergei Krasheninnikov. After almost twenty years, several more stories came out, but this tape was the first - “The Adventures of Krosh”. The actors who starred in it, not all were professionals. But this did not stop them from completely surrendering to the filming process. The result was overwhelming.
Story line. Life experience and harsh laws
When you are just (or already) sixteen years old and you are studying in the ninth grade, it seems that you are already quite an adult, you can do a lot and know everything, well, or almost everything. In the film “The Adventures of Krosh”, the actors of which were selected by the director Heinrich Hovhannisyan very carefully, after the end of the school year, schoolchildren of one of the Moscow schools leave for a large bus depot for summer practice. It was here that they became acquainted with that side of life, which before these events was perceived by them as clear, understandable, and accessible.
Very little time passed, and it turned out that in a vast world of adults on the throne, completely different laws are seated, which are sometimes more than harsh. And not all guys are ready for a strength test ...
Story line. How to become a detective?
The actors of the film “The Adventures of Krosh”, playing schoolchildren, learn the script very quickly with the new rules for organizing the uncomplicated work of a repairman. They chose a supplier in their team, after which everyone began to understand that the practice was useful to him in some way.
And only one guy who has humanitarian abilities and does not radiate the slightest interest in technology, is clearly knocked out of such a friendly and cheerful team. His name is Seryozha Krasheninnikov, and his friends and classmates call him simply Krosh.
This practice could have passed just like last year’s, and just like the practice of next summer would have passed if it hadn’t ... An emergency occurred at the motor depot: a completely new shock absorber first disappeared from the warehouse, and then the whole car. Clever and observant Krosh decided to take on the functions of a detective ...
Youth, go ahead!
In the late 50s and early 60s of the twentieth century, both in the literary genre and in the film industry, there was a fairly noticeable surge in interest in works narrating about modern youth. The Adventures of Krosh movie, actors which were at a fairly young age (with the exception of a few older characters), just answered his time. It was he who was noted among many other, quite interesting works on this topic. But it is precisely the film set according to the Rybakov story, “The Adventures of Krosh,” that stands apart. The actors and the roles they played invariably aroused the sympathy of the audience.
This picture is very bright and kind. She is completely imbued with the spirit of the sixties and tells the story of adolescents who are just entering adulthood. All the guys are very different, but all of them, without any doubt, cause the most sincere, genuine feeling of sympathy from the audience. And first of all, this applies to the main character - Krosh.
Actors and characters
Heinrich Hovhannisyan thought for a long time about who to invite to the main role in his film. His choice fell on the son of his wife - Nikolai Tomashevsky. At that time, the young man had no experience working on the set, but he brilliantly played the role offered to him. Slender and very active guy performed by Nicholas fully met the spirit of the book. He is cheerful, with a bright and burning look, but at the same time critical. Such Krosh was the personification of the young generation of that period. A guy who believed in a happy future for his country.
This film - “The Adventures of Krosh,” whose actors very precisely fit into their roles, a few years later appeared a little in the shadow of another film about the same hero, but shot by another director. And the new Krosh was played in the spirit of the seventies of the last century.

In the picture of 1961, one of the most striking characters (and, perhaps, the most striking) was Sergei's classmate - Vadim. He was then played by the still very young Nikita Mikhalkov. And he played very subtly, at ease and easily, as if doing a favor. The young actor, who does not have enough experience, managed to create the image of a prudent, businesslike and even out-of-age sneaky teenager. But at the same time, his Vadim was damn charming. Already at that time, in the manner of the game, in the turns of the head, in the movements of the hands, one could notice those special notes and intonations that were inherent only to Mikhalkov alone.
In this film, another actor and a talented comedian, young Savely Kramarov, was shot by the audience. He had a small, but characteristic for him, the role of the driver Ivashkin, which the actor could not help but amuse the audience, causing them wide sincere smiles.
The director of the car depot - an experienced leader - was played by Nikolai Parfyonov, and the kind and reasonable driver Zuev - Vladimir Kashpur.
This film is still of interest to the audience, despite the fact that it lacks a little the rigidity and dynamism of modern cinema. But this is what distinguishes the paintings of the sixties ...
