Teleadaptation of the classic novel by A. Dumas: the series "Count of Krestovsky"

The classic work of the great writer A. Dumas has been filmed by many countries more than a dozen times. These were feature films and series. All cinema and television adaptations were criticized for their free use of the literary source and deviations from the original letter. The series "Count of Krestovsky" is no exception. According to the co-author of the script, Alexander Oleinikov, only one episode was taken from the novel by Dumas - escape from prison.

Synopsis

“Count Krestovsky” is a project of director Ramiz Fataliev, consisting of eleven episodes in which the authors play on the classic plot in modern conditions. The premiere screening took place on NTV channel in September 2004. Filming of the multi-part picture took place in the director’s hometown - Baku, separate scenes were shot on the Caspian island of Sangi-Mugan.

Actors "Count of Krestovsky" are familiar and loved by the domestic audience. The main role was played by two charismatic actors at once: Elbrus in his youth was played by Mikhail Dorozhkin (“Lily of the valley silver”, “Mata Hari”), and wise by experience, matured man - inimitable Alexander Baluev (“Special Forces”, “Antikiller”, “Turkish Gambit”, "Zhukov"). Sergei Nikonenko, Alexei Policeitsimako, Fakhraddin Manafov, Ekaterina Semenova, who perfectly embodied their heroes on the screen, should also be distinguished from the ensemble of actors.

Plot

The plot of "Count of Krestovsky", despite a different time period and its trends, nevertheless repeats the plot of the literary source. Elbrus Tamaev, a native of the working-class family, has an excellent education in the spirit of fundamental male principles. He graduates from school, next to his beloved girl and faithful friend. The young man gets a sailor on a dry cargo ship. But his friend decides to cash in on drug smuggling. As a result, Elbrus is made guilty of a crime. He must spend the remaining years of his life in custody in a maximum security prison, from which it is impossible to escape. But thanks to the intervention of a cellmate in twenty years, he manages to escape from prison and return home. Now he is an oligarch Count Krestovsky. The hero intends to take revenge on all offenders.

Interesting Facts

"Count Krestovsky" contains a lot of quite spectacular scenes. For example, during the filming, the authors distorted several cars. Moreover, several were distorted according to the scenario, and one suffered as a result of a real accident, the driver lost control.

During the filming of the scene of the protagonist's escape from prison, he was darned in a blanket and thrown into the sea from the fortress. This trick performer of the role of Count Krestovsky Baluev personally performed. Of course, the actor was insured by professional stuntmen, but he did not manage to earn claustrophobia in the bag, as he spent little time in it.

During the production and installation of the tape, the creators used computer graphics. In particular, during the creation of the scene of the meeting between Count Krestovsky and the President of the Russian Federation. It is believed that the chair in which the protagonist was seated belongs to the head of one of the former republics of the Soviet Union.
