OCG "Olympia" (Penza): history, composition, photo

Although documentaries have never been shot about the Olympia organized crime group in Penza, one indisputable fact cannot be denied: this group played a very important role in the criminal sphere of a rather big city. The current situation with organized crime in the whole region is directly connected with this gang, it has become a kind of source, even if it has not existed in nature for a long time. This article will examine in detail how exactly the Olimpia organized criminal group emerged and entered into force in Penza, as well as about people who were ideological inspirers and leaders of the organization throughout its existence.

Grouping Formation

In fact, this grouping has nothing to do with the residence of the Greek gods. The name itself - the Olimpia organized crime group, was formed in Penza solely because of the sports complex of the same name, in which a meeting of the founding leaders of the gang, as well as most of its ordinary members, took place.

Olympia complex

It was formed back in the 90s, and to be more precise, its origins begin in 1993, when some young athletes who were engaged in power sports here gradually began to stray into small companies, which subsequently merged into one group. Surprisingly, these people did not start racketeering on their own - people themselves began to come to them and ask "under the roof" from the bandits that they had arbitrariness at that time. They saw in these strong guys some kind of protection.

Only at a later stage, the guys began to look for customers themselves, but at first they were looking for them. Thus, the organized crime group began to gain momentum, gradually becoming the leading one in Penza, and then spreading its influence to other cities - Kuznetsk, Nikolsk and Nizhny Lomov.

"Chernysh"

The first leader of the Olimpia organized crime group in Penza can be safely called Sergey Chernyshev, who was the director of the complex itself. He bore the nickname Chernysh, and together with Ivan Sholtoyan, who served with him as the head of the security service, he began to gather the first backbone of his group.

Organized crime groups in the beginning

Initially, the activities of the group he assembled were limited to protecting merchants, but after some time they themselves took the place of racketeers and became criminals.

Ivan Sholtoyanu

For the most part, Chernysh acted more as an ideological leader, and in the arrivals he was replaced by Ivan Sholtoyan, who himself was directly on each of them to closely monitor how exactly his guys act in stressful situations. However, by 1996, gang fighters began to suspect him of improper redistribution of income, and therefore he was expelled from the Olimpia organized crime group (in Penza). He was forced to leave for his homeland, in Moldova, but a year later he tried to return, but he had already lost his authority and was simply not accepted by Sholtoian.

The composition of the gang

Despite the fact that Olimpia held a fairly large territory under its control, the number of members of the group was rather small. During their heyday, they numbered about 20 main participants, although about 300 more were used for minor matters.

OCG members

However, they were so small bipod that you do not need to take them into account, because the maximum damage from them was represented by simple fights, and they never saw leaders of the organized crime group in their life.

Small membership allowed creating a simple and effective structure of the group: all its members were divided into brigades, each of which had a person who had direct contact with the leaders. The brigades themselves were engaged in "protection", and also committed beatings and arson as a means of intimidation. However, in general, all gang income was solely based on tribute received from merchants, as well as on the content of slot machines.

Working methods

In the initial period of its existence, Olympia was notable for its careful planning of its operations. Chernysh tightly regulated his people, who acted on the basis of one law - you need to move only forward.

If you succumb, you have lost your authority. That is why it was almost impossible to leave the gang, because the betrayers were treated very harshly: beating was the most minimal punishment. Everything changed with the new leader Maksimenko coming to power - the Olimpia organized criminal group in Penza began to submit to him by 1997.

Max

Max, aka Maksimenko, without much effort from a completely calm gang created a cruel structure. A photo of Maksimenko in the Olimpia organized crime group in Penza is presented in the article.

He simply wisely used existing resources. The members of Olimpia were always unusually well armed, first of all because they were hunters, and therefore had a completely legal permission to store and carry weapons.

Authority Max

Even the militiamen who were working in the city at that time admitted that, by the standards of criminal Russia, this group was completely democratic and promiscuous never satisfied. Many believe that over time they could well become a regular commercial structure such as private security, but this did not work out.

Third branch

In addition to the leader himself, another member of the Olimpia organized criminal group in Penza, Ermolaev, deserves special attention. He was the head of the third structural unit of the gang and, by virtue of his duties, performed the activities of a financial director, and also duplicated the activities of the first two structures that are directly responsible for expanding the spheres of influence and the activities of prostitutes. What is surprising, it turned out to be planted solely according to the scheme, which the American authorities used to use to capture the famous Chicago mafiosi Al Capone. Only not for tax evasion, but for trying to renew the UAZ car, which belonged to an arrested member of the group. He was tried on the basis of the property that was in the car and was allegedly misappropriated by him, although initially Yermolaev’s actions consisted solely in helping a friend from whom the law enforcement authorities were going to seize the vehicle.

Conflict

The Olimpia organized crime group continued to operate until about the mid-2000s, which was significant by the standards of the time. However, their internal conflicts failed, namely the friction between the two leaders - Maksimenko and Klimantovich - over the redistribution of income between members. It was this disassembly that led to the “inheritance” of the Olimpia organized criminal group in Penza. The court was not long in coming.

Sentencing

It all started quite simply: Klimantovich, who did not agree with Max, decided to order the killers. However, most of the fighters were on the side of Maksimenko, and therefore the information leaked, and the leader managed to avoid a bullet in the forehead. The authorities of the group at their meeting decided to hand over Klimantovich to law enforcement services, talking about a number of their own affairs in order to plant him longer. They did not expect one thing: Klimantovich in captivity began to speak, and his testimony helped to plant many of his former associates. He himself received state protection as an important witness, but members of the Olimpia organized crime group in 2015 were forced to stand trial. Maksimenko himself received 25 years in prison, and the total term of members is equal to 281 years.
