What if a young talented soccer player in Russia wants to grow as a professional, with such fierce competition? Take, for example, Vyacheslav Karavaev. The athlete showed one of the ways. But it is suitable for those who are willing to work hard on themselves. Why is it worth paying attention to this pupil of the CSKA school? What are your goals for the future?
Biography
Born in 1995, a native Muscovite, Vyacheslav Karavaev was given by parents to the CSKA football club at the age of 6. The player made his debut for the main team of the army only in 2013. He played on the field that season in just four games, leaving for a substitution. This shows how much competition there is among CSKA defense players.
Soberly assessing his prospects in the club at the moment and wanting to progress, Vyacheslav tells the coach about his desire to play in the European team. Just at this moment, such an opportunity is provided, since the defender leaves the Czech club Dukla. The coach understands the request of Vyacheslav. Karavaev next season in 2013/14 protects the colors of "Dukla" on loan. He goes to the base of this strong middle peasant of the Czech Republic major league 29 championship games.
The next season, the guy again plays in the Czech Republic on loan, but at the club "Jablonec", which also takes the place next to the table with "Dukla". 29 games at the base this time are crowned with two goals of Vyacheslav Karavaev.
At the same time, he was always invited to the youth and youth teams, for which he played several dozen matches.
Returning from a lease in 2016 with a desire to play at the base of CSKA, the defender realizes that at the moment it will be very difficult for him to compete. There is an offer from Prague “Sparta”.
Why did the choice fall on Sparta and the Czech Republic?
When asked about this in an interview with Vyacheslav, Karavaev answered that, first of all, high-level gaming practice is important for progression. In the Czech Republic, they trust young players, releasing doubles of 17, 18 years old. Vyacheslav also feels the coach’s confidence in himself - since joining Sparta in August 2016, he has played all 90 minutes in all 22 matches, including 7 matches in the Europa League. This is a very big plus for the player, as they gain invaluable experience of playing at a high level.
In general, the level of football in the Czech Republic is quite high, although it is not comparable with the Russian Premier League, but it is higher than the level of FNL. One feature of the Czech championship: there are almost no legionnaires, especially expensive ones. High results are achieved thanks to hard training, the attitude to which is very serious.
Prague Sparta, existing under different names since 1883, is very similar to CSKA:
- also originally conceived as an army club;
- the same huge support from the fans;
- long and glorious traditions.
Sparta is a well-known club in Europe
It is worth mentioning that Sparta is the absolute record holder in the number of trophies won among Czech teams: 21 times became the champion of Czechoslovakia, 12 - the champion of the Czech Republic, won the Cup of their country 28 times, 2 times - the Super Cup. In the Champions League reached the 3rd place.
Now, after half a season has been played, the Prague team is confidently in third place in the standings. Almost constantly takes part in the Europa League.
Speaking in the Europa League this season with new coach David Goloubek, Sparta came out of first place in a difficult group, beating Inter at home (Milan) and English Southampton, while Israeli Hapoel won in both matches. In this tournament, Karavaev scored one assist.
Goals and way to achieve
From an interview with Vyacheslav (Karavaev was given by Radio Prague) we learn about his goals for the future, starting with the closest:
- get as far as possible with the Prague team in the Europa League;
- win the Czech championship;
- play in the top team in Europe, in Germany, Spain or Italy;
- win the champions league.
Thanks to the diligence, conscientious attitude to his work, which earned him the trust of the coaching staff and fans, Vyacheslav can well hope for success, which we all sincerely wish him. As Vyacheslav himself said, now his priority is not money (by the way, the transfer price was more than 1 million euros), but the opportunity to show himself in a favorable light so that scouts of top European clubs pay attention to him.
Attack Defender
Let's look at the player’s performance for half of this season. A pupil of FC CSKA (Moscow) spent 13 games in the championship, 9 in cups (all 90 minutes), scored 2 goals, gave 8 assists. Pretty good stats for a defender, right?
Now Vyacheslav plays on the position of the right-back in Sparta, at number 4. He has good speed qualities, the desire to connect to the attack. But most importantly, the desire to learn a European approach to the game, a serious attitude to training, without which you cannot succeed.
Interestingly, the reputable print publication of the Czech Republic iSport called Karavaev the most successful acquisition of the Czech Republic in the summer of 2016. Indeed, the progress of a football player is very difficult not to notice.
