How did such an impressive potential of the Russian athlete come about?
The guy was born on July 24, 1988 in Kaluga in an ordinary family. My father was a worker at a meat factory, my mother was a cook in the dining room of the kindergarten.
Dad to a large extent contributed to the fact that Victor Simkin fell in love with sports. His biography mentions an abundance of outdoor games, jogging in childhood. He received the first basics of strength training from his father in 1994. Favorite exercises for Victor in those years were pulling up on the bar, bending and unbending arms in emphasis on the uneven bars.
Since childhood, he had developed abdominal muscles: to hold the “corner” on the bar was his skate. However, the first sports victory of the future world bodybuilding star came ... at city biathlon competitions. The first place in the championship of Kaluga was taken by Victor Simkin.
