The gymnasium is located on Serova street, 272, in the city of Stavropol. The educational institution has been led by Shishkina Larisa Aleksandrovna since 2013. The number of students is 1096 in 45 classes (as of September 2017). An educational institution has several biases in various areas of science.

The educational organization was created in 1964 and was then secondary school No. 30. Yuri Anatolyevich Oberemko was appointed the head.
In 1971, the school was profiled in the physical and mathematical direction.
Since 1975, graduates could receive certificates of obtaining the title of "Computer Operator". Such an opportunity appeared due to joint activities with the Stavropol Polytechnic Institute.
In 1985 a new subject was introduced - “Economics”.
The school received its modern name "Multidisciplinary Gymnasium No. 30 of the City of Stavropol" in 1994.
To date, the school employs 33 people with various state ranks and awards.
Over the entire existence of the gymnasium number 30 of Stavropol graduated more than 5000 people, among them the Minister of Education of the Stavropol Territory. He is also a graduate of this gymnasium.
