The first in the history of mankind, the Egyptians began to paint their lips. Then the lipstick was made from red choir and iron oxides. In the form in which it is known to us today, lipstick began to be produced since 1903. The most popular cosmetic product in a tube was started by GUERLAIN.
Lip color gives out traits of our character: red is preferred by cheerful women, pink by gentle and romantic, orange-red by bold and extravagant, pearl shades are risky and successful. However, the brighter the lipstick, the more carefully and thoroughly it needs to be applied. This is the golden rule.
Lipstick is made on the basis of oils, mastics (lanolin) and dyes (mainly synthetic). The proportions of these parts determine its properties. Matte creamy lipsticks contain the highest proportion of dyes (up to 10%), therefore they are characterized by stability and lie evenly. Mother of pearl contains a lot of lanolin and synthetic mica. Shine cream includes approximately 45% lanolin. It can be applied over regular lipstick. Lip gloss contains a minimal proportion of dyes and a much higher proportion of oils. You need to paint your lips correctly.
Step 1. Cover your lips with a moisturizing balm that gives them elasticity and eliminates possible peeling.
Step 2. Using a sponge, lightly brush your lips with a foundation. In this case, the lipstick will be distributed evenly and will last on the lips much longer.
Step 3. Carefully trace the lip line with a contour pencil. Start with a “V” on the upper lip, then draw lines to the corners. On the lower lip, you can draw one inseparable line from one corner to another.
Step 4. Paint the surface of the lips inside the contour with lipstick using a special brush. Take paint in small portions on it, distribute evenly from the middle with the corners.
Step 5. Blot the excess lipstick with a paper towel.
To make the lips matte, a napkin is applied to them in one layer and dusted. To lipstick does not leave marks, you must use a contour pencil. For these purposes, they also use special non-fat lipstick or powder.
Long-lasting lipstick lasts up to 12 hours, and super-resistant lipstick lasts up to 24, without requiring tinting. On the one hand, it is convenient. On the other hand, such lipsticks cause a feeling of tightness of the lips and discomfort from the film formed on the lips. Such lipstick is removed only by special means, which include fairly aggressive ingredients.
You can’t use such cosmetics every day so as not to dry your lips. It includes lanolin, oils, UV filters, plant extracts (these are useful components), as well as petroleum products, wax and active coloring pigments. The color is fixed with silicone oil, which the manufacturers of natural cosmetics refused.
More expensive and high-quality products contain less harmful substances (for example, Loreal lipstick, Revlon, Isa Dora, Colorstay), however, you need to understand that the peculiarity of the product requires the inclusion of ingredients that will not only provide a lasting color to the lips, but will have on your skin and negative effects.
