In recent years, the borrowing of foreign plots for their own film projects has become more fashionable in the CIS. This despite the fact that the Slavic scriptwriters have a lot of their own unique ideas. A vivid example of this is the “On the Game” dilogy and its sequel, the “Gamers” series. Let's find out what these projects are about and what actors starred in them.
"On the game"
The first movie of this cycle was released in 2009 and proved to be pretty good. A year later, its sequel, “At Game 2. A New Level,” was released. And a couple of years later, an eight-part television series “Gamers” was shown on STS.
These projects were the first in the Russian Federation in the cyberpunk genre. All three were shot on the basis of Alexander Chubaryan’s book, The Game of Life.
The director of the films was Pavel Sanaev, and Mikhail Shevchuk worked on the series .
As for the financial side, the first of the tapes earned almost 4 million dollars at the box office, with a budget of 3.5. And the second failed at the box office, earning just 2.4 million.
Plot
At the center of all events is a team of gamer guys. They spend all their free time playing games on computers, and earn a living by participating in various cyber tournaments. After winning another of them, in addition to cash prizes, the guys receive discs from the new game of the VIRTUS company.
When each of the guys tried to run it at home, something strange happened to them. After some time, the heroes found that after exposure to the disc, each of them acquired the abilities of their game characters.
A fan of racing games, Rita, in reality, began to ride as a Formula 1 participant, her boyfriend Vampire and his friends Doc, Komar, Long and Ian acquired the skills of super-soldiers and learned to shoot accurately at the target at any distance without an aim. And one more of their acquaintance, Max (who also won the competition), became a professional fighter.
When the latter invited the girl Lena he liked to the cafe, they were pinned by hooligans. Maxim unexpectedly was able to defeat them all. However, it turned out that they are all members of a gang of local authority Khizyr. To avenge the offense, the criminals kidnap Max and plan to kill him.
Fortunately, his friends accidentally witnessed all of this. They followed the kidnappers. It turned out that at the base where the guy was taken, a whole detachment of mercenaries was hiding. The guys had to engage in a real battle with them. At the same time, gamers managed to defeat experienced warriors and save a friend.
The incident on the basis of Khizir became interested in the oligarch Gromov connected with the criminal. He sends his assistant - FSB colonel Lebedev to find the guys. The intelligence officer succeeds in this, in addition, he finds out that the head of VIRTUS has a whole batch of discs that can turn ordinary gamers into a super-soldier.
Gromov and Lebedev capture the guys and convince them to work for themselves. However, when the Vampire realizes that they want to use them as banal hired killers, he decides to leave the game. Doc interferes with him, and as a result, a shootout ensues in the city center. Innocent people die, as well as Long. So the first part ends.
In the second, the Vampire decides to leave Gromov. He, with the help of Max, fakes Rita’s death, thus saving her. However, the hero himself falls into the trap organized by his former friends Doc, Komar and Ian.
The guy miraculously manages to survive, but now he and Rita and Max are striving to destroy all VIRTUS discs and stop the appearance of their own kind. The trouble is that all the CDs are in the safe at Gromov’s airship in his residence. Trinity finds a way to get there. But it turns out that they were used by Doc and company, which, in turn, want to take possession of the disks in order to organize their own gang.
As a result of the scuffle, the Vampire manages to destroy the CD, but they, with Rita and wounded Max, are in the hands of the police. Doc is wounded, and Komar and Jan escape.
Several years pass, and the Vampire is released from prison. At the exit, he is met by Rita with her son.
The events of the "Gamers" take place in the interval between the arrest of Rita and the Vampire and the release of the latter from prison. Doc survived, now he is in the hands of Lebedev, who hid the last surviving disk. He hopes to make copies of him and create an army of super-soldiers.
Meanwhile, the Vampire and Rita in the detention center. Nobody believes the guys. Komar and Jan decide to help them. They find evidence of the guilt of the late Gromov and still living Lebedev. Gamers also save Rita from prison and want to hide her.
Meanwhile, Doc recruits a new gang of inveterate players and, having stolen the last disc, turns them into a super-soldier. Together, they deal with Lebedev and restore order among local criminals. At the same time, the hero longs for revenge on former friends. He finds and kills Komar and Jan, and uses Rita as a decoy to get to the Vampire.
In the end, the lovers manage to deal with Doc and his wards. Rita is released, but the Vampire has to sit for several years. The final of the series is identical to that in the tape “On the game 2. A new level”.

Having considered the content of all three projects of the cycle, it is worth moving on to the main issue. So, who starred in it?
To begin, consider the actors of the movie "On the Game." The role of the Vampire was played by Sergey Chirkov (“How I Became Russian”, “Friday”, “How to Marry a Millionaire-2”), and his girlfriend Rita was performed by a Russian actress of Ukrainian origin Marina Petrenko (“Five minutes to the metro”, “Only you ").
Max was played by the star of "Saboteur" and "Metro" Alexey Bardukov, and his beloved Lena - Agnia Ditkovskite ("Heat", "Happy New Year, mothers!").
The remaining members of the gamer team were performed by such actors of the film “On the Game” as Pavel Priluchny (Doc), Yevgeny Harlanov (Komar), Tikhon Zhizhevsky (Long) and Nodar Siradze (Yan).
Colonel Lebedev was played by Boris Tenin, and his boss Boris Gromov, the main antagonist of Russian cinema, Viktor Verzhbitsky (Black Lightning, Mafia: The Game of Survival).
The head of VIRTUS, his son and his assistant were performed by the actors of the film “On the Game”: Mikhail Gorevoy (“Nightingale the Robber”, “Catherine. Takeoff”), Dmitry Martynov (“Night Watch”, “Stepmother”) and the star “Mentov” Mikhail Trukhin.

In continuation of the film “At the game-2. New Level ”new artists practically did not appear, except in episodes.
So, Yegor Luchishkin played the son of Rita and the Vampire, Valentin Terekhov, a corrupt medical orderly from the morgue, Sergei Gazarov Shimicha, and another star of cops Alexander Lykov played the role of Komelev.
All the other characters were played by the above-mentioned actors of the movie “On the Game”. The exception was Tikhon Zhizhevsky. The fact is that his character, in the story, was killed at the end of the first part.
Who starred in the series "Gamers"
Having examined the main actors of the movie “On the Game” (photo of the actors above) and its sequel, it is worth learning about the newcomers who appeared in the television series “Gamers”.
First of all, this is the new performer of the role of Rita. For unknown reasons, Marina Petrenko was replaced by Agatha Muceniece. Perhaps this replacement was influenced by the husband of the actress - Pavel Priluchny, who played the main villain Doc.
Among the new characters in the project are members of his gang Ice (Yuri Krieger), Panda (Ilya Sysoev) and Lama (Sergey Serikov). This hero also has his own lover - a gamer girl named Masha, nicknamed Umka (Anna Vasilieva).
Vampire and Rita also have new friends in the isolation ward performed by Evgenia Lapova and Roman Savchenko.
In addition to all of the above new heroes, viewers in the series are introduced to Rita's mother (Elena Antipova) and Dock's father (Igor Mescherin).
