“All without a trace” - this is how the meaning of phraseology “nine yards” can be explained. The actors in the film Lynn are well-known Hollywood stars. But before you name them (which, incidentally, are known even to those who have not watched comedy), you should recall the plot.

There are two main characters in the film. The plot revolves around a crazy duo consisting of an experienced killer and a simple dentist. As already mentioned, by analogy with English phraseology, which literally means “to the very end” or “without a trace”, the film “Nine Yards” got its name. The actors created on the screen two eccentric characters of an incredible story.

The main character is Jimmy Tadesky, nicknamed Tulip. In the past, he was an experienced hitman and worked for mafia bosses, but then took a chance and made a deal with the government. As a result, Tulip surrendered its customers and served five years in prison. Now, after his release, he bought a house and settled there under an assumed name.

Oz

His neighbor is a depressed dentist Nicholas Ozeransky. Oz, as everyone calls him, has a good stable income, but he has an unhappy marriage and a usurper mother-in-law. The wife wants to part with Oz and would have done it long ago, but she is afraid to remain in poverty. For this reason, a woman comes up with an insidious and cruel plan: she hires a killer so that he eliminates the disgusting husband. After all, Sophie, and this is exactly the name of the missus Oz, will receive insurance only when she is widowed.

The only one who understands and supports Oz is his secretary, Jill. The girl sincerely sympathizes with the boss and wants him to be happy.
