There were 2 characters in total - bad and good. Of course, Sergei wanted to choose a good character, but the director insisted that he read and get acquainted with the second hero. And when they gave him the text and turned on the cameras, he played flawlessly this role. That's the way he ended up on the set of the series School No. 1 in the title role.
Twenty episodes for Sergey were a tremendous experience, since he hadn’t starred in a similar genre before. He got used to the image of his character, because he was also young, impulsive, reckless. It was these qualities that helped him a lot to feel his hero, and, consequently, to play perfectly. As the actor later recalled, if such a role had been given to him ten years earlier, he could not have performed it so well, life experience would not have been enough.

"School number 1" - a series that was exactly the springboard that the actor needed. After the release of this picture, many directors began to invite Sergei to participate in their films. Six months later, he was offered to star in the film "Baptism" as the best friend of a good Komsomol activist. The actions that took place in 1941 impressed Nazarov, so he gladly accepted the offer and played in the film.
