Fyodor Tyutchev correctly noted that it is not possible for a person to predict how his word will be answered. No one knows what his action will turn out to be. And do we always understand that we have done the right thing? And what does this word actually mean? Acts are an integral part of human life, so it is worth understanding their features and what they are.
What is an act?
By an act is meant a specific act committed of goodwill. Actions are a person’s conscious choice, the content of which determines his legitimacy and morality.
Also, a certain form of an individual’s behavior is called an act, where a choice of goals and methods for achieving them is made. Sometimes such tactics may be contrary to public standards.
Thus, it can be noted that actions are conscious actions that are assessed as moral self-identification of a person, manifesting in his attitude to people, society and nature.
Components of the act
Each action consists of several components:
- Motive. That which directs a person to perform a certain action.
- Goal. Each action has a specific goal. The peculiarity of such a goal is manifested in its influence on the interests of other people.
- Subject of transformation. Each action affects the person’s personality or his environment, which distinguishes him from action.
- Funds. That is, the ways in which a certain action is performed: a word or deed.
- Process. The act itself.
- Result. Changes that have occurred to a person or his environment.
- Rating. Correspondence of the result to the initial motives.
Acts are not just actions performed by a person on a daily basis, but actions that have certain motives and influence an individual or society.
Moral issue
When it comes to actions, the problem of morality always comes to the fore. What is a moral act? This is a responsible and conscious action that does not affect the free will and interests of others.
In life, the concepts of morality and morality inextricably follow each other. If we talk about morality, then this is the side of existence that is associated with human actions, practical and real action. Watching how others act, a person forms for himself a certain rule of behavior, which can be called moral.
A moral act always has a certain moral value. It is determined by the motives and results of the perfect action.
Strength of Morality
To understand the moral value of an act, it is first necessary to determine under the influence of what morality it was perfect. Morality happens:
- "Good." It includes such concepts as respect, kindness, responsiveness, understanding, care.
- "Evil". The basis of which are the definitions of selfishness and selfishness.
And only moral standards can show a person that it is worth being guided by "good" morality. Understanding that immoral acts are condemned by society, a person feels the need to act honestly, to be faithful, to respect elders, to act tactfully, thoughtfully and correctly. Therefore, a moral act is an action that has a special moral value and is positively perceived in society.
This is the peculiarity of moral standards: to show a person what is a good action and what is bad.
Man is his actions
Actions and man - these two words are inextricably linked. In life, you always have to make decisions, make choices or do things. And being in close social interaction with other people, a person always has an impact on their fate.
Making important decisions, wanting to find happiness and achieve what we want, we sometimes forget about the existence of others. Guided by an “evil”, selfish morality, we act contrary to moral laws.
And not only things can affect the environment. Indifference to the problems of others, mental stinginess, unwillingness to make any decisions and take actions are also acts, those based on laziness, apathy and indifference. This line of behavior can also be called immoral acts, as this has a negative effect on others.
But that’s not all, even a word is an act. How easy it is to keep silent and turn away when someone needs words of support. It is easy and unpunished to insult or humiliate, without even noticing it. And how difficult it is to find sincere words of comfort or praise. Each spoken word also hides an act. And often, such an act means much more than action.
Each person is followed by an endless string of his actions and words. Some of them can be called actions worthy of respect, some do not even deserve a bit of attention, and certain actions can be defined as immoral behavior. However, do not blame for this, because at the heart of each act is a certain motive. And always the motive is associated with one goal - to be happy.
