Victoria Fedorova, films with which many saw it, had a very difficult fate. In her life, you can shoot a separate picture. With her participation, many films were released. Victoria followed in the footsteps of her mother, and already at the age of eighteen glory came to her. Victoria never became the only cinema legend, despite the many captured pictures.
A family
Victoria Fedorova, daughter of Zoya Fedorova, was born on January 18, 1946 in Moscow. The love story of her parents was somewhat tragic. Jackson Roger Tate arrived in Moscow, where he met Zoya. They began to meet, but after a while he was expelled from the USSR. He was informed in an anonymous letter that Zoya was married and asked not to disturb her. Tate stopped writing to her, never knowing that he had a daughter. As a result, Victoria saw him only after many years, already an adult.
Childhood
For a long time Victoria Fedorova grew up without a father. There was a dash in her birth certificate. When Victoria turned 11 months old, her mother was sent to prison. Up to 9 years old, the girl was raised by her own aunt. All this time, Victoria called her mom. The girl did not know about the fact that the real parent was in prison, she considered Zoya her aunt. When she was released, the truth finally opened. About childhood father from childhood said that he died.
Study
Victoria graduated from high school. After that, she dreamed of going to study for a psychiatrist. But her mother really wanted to see her on the screen, so that she continued her career. And Victoria entered VGIK, at the acting department.
Movie career
In 1964, Victoria Fedorova, the daughter of Zoya Fedorova, starred in her first three films. But the “Highlights" for her was the film "Two", released next year. On world screens, it was shown under a different name: "Ballad of Love." Victoria really hoped that the father, whom she had unsuccessfully searched for since childhood (as soon as she found out about him), would see the picture and would definitely respond. Actually, she entered the acting department with the hope of this.
After the film that brought her fame, Victoria Fedorova starred in many more films until she went abroad. In America, she got married and remained for permanent residence. She quickly learned English, but the Russian accent still remained. As a result, the path to the Hollywood scene was closed for her. Realizing that the maximum that they can offer is small minor roles (and even spies), she left the career of the actress.
Career in the modeling business
Victoria Fedorova, whose biography was mainly associated with cinema, decided to try herself in the modeling business. She had a good figure and was a beautiful woman. Victoria for some time demonstrated on the catwalks the clothes of American designers. And she became the face of one of the well-known cosmetic companies at that time. But over time, the model’s career was completed.
Find father
Victoria Fedorova learned that her father was alive, only 13 years old. Mother finally told her about him. And she said that he is American. Victoria's expectations that her father would respond after the painting “Two”, circled the whole world, were in vain. But she stubbornly continued his search.
Russian American writer, Irina Kirk, helped her in this. It was the height of the Cold War between the USSR and America. Search had to be carried out with great caution. Several years passed before Irina found the address of Tate. She wrote him a few letters, but no reply came.
Tate was then married for the third time. Retired to the admiral. He was not going to answer the letters of the stranger, but curiosity won. Phoned with Irina, he found out that he has a daughter. Tate was moved and excited. Having received from Irina a photo of his daughter, he immediately recognized her, since she was very similar to him.
Victoria Fedorova, an actress of the USSR, received an invitation from America from her father and tried to leave for the USA in order to finally meet with him. But relations between the countries were rather tense, and the authorities did their best to prevent and did not give an exit visa. It got to the point that Victoria had to put together a press conference at home from two American journalists. And to inform the whole world through them that the trip to the USA has nothing to do with political views, and she just really wants to see her father.
That helped. An article was published about it in the New York Times. For 4 columns. After its publication, a month later she was nevertheless given the stamp of a visa in her passport. Observing increased measures of secrecy (since Victoria was constantly being monitored with her mother), she flew to America, where, finally, she met with her father.
Mother loss
The death of the mother was the last thread that connected Victoria with her homeland. Zoya came to America several times and was going to move to her daughter for good. But in December 1981, she was killed in her own apartment with a shot in the head. A criminal case was instituted, but was not solved.
Nobody cracked the apartment, Zoya opened the door to the killer herself. Because of this, there was speculation that it was one of her friends. But nobody began to "dig". And the case was quietly lowered into the archive. For Zoe, they did not even give a place in the cemetery. And all Victoria’s attempts to find justice failed. Only her closest relatives were able to ensure that Zoya Fedorova was at least buried.
Personal life
Victoria Fedorova met her first husband Irakli while studying at VGIK. He was also a student. And studied for the director. In the third year they got married. But their marriage did not last long. Heraclius was very jealous and on this basis three times tried to commit suicide. In 1969, they divorced.
After a while, Victoria met Sergey, the son of her mother’s girlfriend. He worked as an architect. She got married, but the marriage again failed. Victoria disliked the mother-in-law. In 1972, a divorce followed. By that time, Victoria herself had come to the conclusion that she did not love Sergey.
A little time passed, and she got married again. The third time, her husband was Valentin Yezhov, the famous screenwriter. He was much older than Victoria. In addition, Valentine drank heavily. Victoria, too, was addicted to alcohol. Long binges began. Her mother chased away Sergey, but he did not leave. Then she accused him of antisocial behavior, and his son-in-law finally disappeared from the horizon. Victoria's next divorce followed.
In the summer of 1975, she married again. Her fourth husband was the American pilot Frederick Puy. They lived together for 17 years. The next year they had a son, who was named Christopher Alexander Fedor. But this marriage of Victoria again broke up. The couple divorced in 1990.
Victoria died of lung cancer at the age of 66, September 5, 2012. Her ashes were scattered over the mountains of Pocono. That was her last will.
