Almost every modern person understands who such thieves are. The list of such people has been published in the public domain dozens of times, but many know too little about who these people were and are, and how they came to this.
Gennady Alexandrovich Kharkov (Mongol)
First of all, it is worth noting Gennady Alexandrovich Kharkov, who is one of those from whom these thieves-in-law went (he opens the list for this reason). Known at the time, a criminal named Mongol is one of the pioneers of the criminal world of our days.
The first time in prison, the Mongol sat at the age of 30 for committing theft. After that, he tried to work in a regular construction organization, which quickly bored him, and subsequently he sent his forces exclusively to the criminal industry. Kharkov stood out among other criminals with ingenuity, independence, quick wit, and sharpness in almost any situation. All actions they almost always carried out personally, for which he was especially revered by other thieves in law. He also opens the list of thieves in law for the reason that one of the main people in his gang was Vyacheslav Ivankov, better known to modern citizens of the post-Soviet space nicknamed Yaponchik, and one of the versions of the appearance of this nickname is exactly what the Mongol himself christened him .
The main activity of his gang was the robbery of apartments belonging to dignitaries, while it is worth noting that in the overwhelming majority of cases, the victims did not even intend to contact the police, because for some reason they hid the origin of the stolen things.
In the process of carrying out its actions, the gang was extremely cruel, and if someone refused to give money voluntarily, he was taken out to the forest and brutally tortured. It is worth noting that the sophisticated torture of this gang was not only physical, but also psychological. For example, some people were put alive in a coffin and began to saw with hacksaws, as a result of which people told all the necessary information.
The attitude of other thieves to Kharkov
It is worth noting that at the time the crime was committed, the actions of Kharkov constituted a direct violation of the thieves' law, and later it became customary to call it “racketeering”. Over time (at the end of the 70s), at a meeting in Kislovodsk, it was decided that racketeering could still be done, as a result of which capital gradually began to merge more and more with the criminal environment, that is, in the end as a result, the thieves themselves became the initiators of this idea. A list of all the people who were there was not published.
In the 90s, the fate of the Mongol turned out to be extremely successful for him, since he became watching over several areas of the capital at the same time and was able to buy a house in France. However, he soon fell ill with cancer and died in 1994.
Vyacheslav Kirillovich Ivankov (Jap)
One of the most famous criminals, who is also the leader of the criminal clan of Moscow, is Vyacheslav Ivankov. The nickname "Jap" got him from the teacher of Mongol, and he got it for the characteristic slanting eyes.
Early life
As a child, Ivankov entered the circus school and began to actively engage in aerial gymnastics, achieving good results. However, in one of the trainings, a misfortune occurred - he fell from the trapeze, as a result of which he received a closed skull injury. It is worth noting the fact that he never turned to any medical institutions with this, despite the fact that in certain situations it came to fainting.
Crime life
Like Mongol, for the first time Ivankov was prosecuted for pickpocketing, and at the time of detention he was so aggressive that psychiatrists identified a chronic mental illness in the form of schizophrenia and insanity. Immediately after Jap found out his diagnosis, he preferred to radically change his behavior - he began to actively communicate with others, was carried away by board games, etc. He would hardly have added to the list of Russian thieves in the Law if he had stayed with a similar diagnosis, but in the end, the doctors said that he had suffered psychosis.
After Jap was for a long time one of the most influential people in the Mongol gang, he created his own group, which was engaged, in fact, almost the same. Under the guise of police officers, gang members began searches of those people who lived on “unearned” incomes, as a result of which they took out absolutely everything from their homes. At the same time, cases of the removal of victims into the forest followed by torture were periodically practiced, during which other values were extorted. After such well-known criminals as Sliva and Asaf joined the group, she began to “work” throughout the territory of the Soviet Union, and in each region the gang left a fairly large number of corpses.
Arbitrator
It is worth noting that many cultural figures, including Alexander Rosenbaum and Joseph Kobzon, petitioned to secure the release of Jap in 1991. For a long time, he then remained in Europe and the USA, but then he was extradited to Russia, where the prosecutor's office opened a case on him about the murder of Turkish businessmen. However, this case completely crumbled already by 2005.
After the acquittal, Ivankov said that in the future he was not going to return to any criminal showdowns, but at the same time, while living abroad, he constantly acted as a kind of “arbitrator” in the process of disputes between various groups. In particular, he decided to take part in the famous conflict that occurred between the most influential clans of his time - the clan of Tariel Oniani and Aslan Usoyan (better known as Ded Hassan).
Death
In 2009, an attempt was made on Jap, which was a shelling during the release of a criminal authority from a restaurant called Thai Elephant, where he was seriously injured. For almost a month, the doctors tried to cure him, however, in spite of all efforts, he died from peritonitis, and never recovered from his wound.
Aslan Rashidovich Usoyan (Grandfather Hassan)
Aslan Usoyan is one of the most famous criminals who has spread his influence practically throughout the territory of the post-Soviet space, and, in particular, at one time personally supervising the cases that were carried out by Rostov thieves in law (the list also mainly consisted of people from Khasan). It was due to such a wide influence that he gained great fame in the territory of the post-Soviet space. They were appointed a large number of leaders in various cities, and, by the way, this includes thieves in law in Omsk, the list of which was headed by Usoyan’s man. This can be noted in almost every region of Russia.
An interesting case is the discord between Hassan and the Oganov brothers, as a result of which, fearing for his life, he decided to go south, despite the fact that many thieves in the law of the Rostov region worked with him, the list of which largely consisted of such people.
At one time, the criminal clan of Ded Hassan was one of the most powerful in Russia, despite the fact that he took part in a fairly large number of major criminal wars. In particular, under his auspices were many famous criminals and even Krasnodar thieves in law, the list of which was often headed by Vadik Krasnodar. In 2010, he was seriously injured, but not fatally, but already in 2013, Usoyan died from a sniper shot.
Clan War Tarot
The most famous conflict for many modern people is the war with the Clan Tariel Oniani (Taro), which occurred due to the division of a huge business empire in Russia and Western Europe, which followed the arrest of Zakhary Kalashov, nicknamed Shakro Molodoy.
Initially, the resistance was that gatherings were going on, including people who led the list of the most powerful thieves in law. Each clan tried to get their location. In addition, both groups were actively recruiting new supporters.
One of the first as a result of this conflict was the restaurateur Gela Tsertsvadze, who was considered the right hand of the Tarot and managed the legal business of Oniani. After this, a series of murders of criminal authorities. It is worth noting that the full list of thieves in law extended not only to the territory of Russia, so the killings also occurred in other countries, including Greece and Spain.
The decisive in this conflict was the attempt on Yaponchik, after which Usoyan was able to convince the entire thieves community of the involvement of the Tarot people, and also became the organizer of the letter, which was signed by most famous legalists and testified that Oniani was sentenced to death.
Death
On January 16, 2013, Grandfather Hassan went into the courtyard of the restaurant under the name "Old Phaeton", after which the sniper shot him in the head almost immediately. After that, they took him to the ambulance, but could not save him - he died in the intensive care unit of the Botkin Hospital. Some sources say that his death occurred on the way to the hospital.
Despite the fact that many criminal authorities wanted to bury him at the prestigious Vagankovsky cemetery, in the end, it was decided to fulfill Usoyan’s will and bury him next to his brother and mother in Tbilisi.
