Patch composition
This medical dressing is based on non-woven polyester, the absorbent pad consists of a special absorbent viscose, and the adhesive surface is made of synthetic rubber glue made without the addition of rosin. As for the coating, it is made from a polyethylene microgrid, and the manufacturer makes the protective layer from silicone-treated paper, which has the obligatory mark of the Cosmopor package opening point. The patch itself, or rather, its wound pillow, consists of two separate layers. The first is the one that comes in direct contact with the wound, and the second is the absorbent pad. The layer in contact with the damaged skin consists of polyethylene, which effectively prevents adhesion. As for the absorbent pad, it is made of viscose, which ensures the absorption of exudate.
Directions for use
If we talk about the features of using this patch, then first of all, the manufacturer recommends choosing the right dressing in size that is most suitable for the size of the skin lesion.
Next, it is necessary to open the individual packaging in the place indicated on the package, slightly pulling at the non-glued edges. After that, you need to get the bandage "Cosmopor". In this case, the patch will be with a protective paper coating, which will need to be removed and only after that apply a bandage to the wound. This should be done in such a way that the absorbent viscose pad completely covers the damage. Then it is necessary to gently press the patch and, without exerting pressure on the wound, smooth the adhesive part. After that, the second part of the protective paper coating of Cosmopor can be removed. Smooth the patch again and gently press it to the skin. Dispose of this dressing after use according to the official regulations for the disposal of medical waste.
