Childhood
Strakhov was born in Moscow on March 2, 1976 in a family of intellectuals. There are no actors among the relatives of the star. His grandfather was an engineer, was fond of painting, but exclusively for himself. I never made a living with a brush. Grandmother led one of the units of aerology of the Soviet Union. Mom is an experienced psychotherapist. Currently has a private practice and his own school. On the maternal side, there were many clergymen in the family. On the father’s side, actor Daniil Strakhov is a descendant of the Amur Cossacks.
The name of the son was not chosen by parents by chance. The philologist father, in the year of the boy’s birth, was studying the fate of Prince Daniil Galitsky and insisted that his son be given this rare and beautiful name. Currently, the actor’s father lives in Boston, in the United States, and publishes a scientific journal.
Study
Studied the future actor Daniil Strakhov in Moscow school number 734, in 1993 he entered the Shchukin Theater School, where he met with Maria Leonova - his future wife.
Start a movie career
The first films with the participation of Daniil Strakhov, the audience saw when he studied at the school. The premiere work was a small role in the film “Arthur Wye's Career. New Version ”based on a play by Brecht, directed by B. Blanca. Despite the large number of busy star actors, the picture was ambiguous and rather controversial. Finishing school, Daniel began to think about how to change his profession. Doubts tormented him: did he choose an occupation that he was ready to do all his life? Nevertheless, the actor until 2000 actively works on the theatrical stage, he is not forgotten by television people.
Daniil Strakhov, whose filmography is very extensive today, began to work in small, sometimes episodic roles in films and TV shows. In 2000, he appeared before us in the role of a young tax police officer in "Maroseyka 12", in 2002 he appeared in the film "Northern Lights", and then a series of series followed.
Undoubtedly, films with Daniil Strakhov did not go unnoticed by viewers and critics. His images are always very convincing and sincere. To date, the role of Vladimir Korf, a young aristocrat in the 120-episode movie Poor Nastya, is considered one of the most significant and large-scale works of the actor. This work brought Daniel huge popularity and love of the audience.
While working on Poor Nastya, Strakhov simultaneously took part in several more projects in the theater and cinema. All doubts about the chosen profession were finally dispelled. The young actor was so in demand that sometimes between shootings and rehearsals he managed to sleep no more than five hours.
Thanks to such a busy schedule, the filmography of Daniil Strakhov was rapidly replenished with new works.

In February 2006, ORT introduced the premiere of this film. According to the actor himself, participation in this picture caused him many doubts. He plagued himself with the question of whether he, with no experience of military service, had the right to star in a film about the war. However, the director Malyukov managed to dispel the doubts of a talented actor. The film was deep and thought-provoking. The role of Lieutenant Pankratov, played by Strakhov, is not the most important, but the image created by the actor cannot be forgotten. Without a single word, with one glance he managed to convey the whole depth of feelings that his character experienced in the last minutes of his life.
For this work, Daniel was awarded an award from the Ministry of Defense. Stormy Gates received the Grand Prix at the International Forum and became the laureate of the Russian TEFI-2006 competition.
