Ethan Hunt - Modern Knight of the Cloak and Dagger

Since 1996, the viewer, along with this secret agent of American intelligence, has been involved in uncovering many conspiracies, unraveled more than one state secret, and several times saved the world from global catastrophes. It would seem that what could be new in the genre of spy detective? How many real heroes the audience has already seen on the screens, but few have fallen in love. So what is the difference between the hero of the series of films “Mission Impossible” and his less successful colleagues? Critics are mixed in their conclusions. Some praise the films for the interesting plot and the richness of dizzying stunts. Others believe that all this is trite and has long become boring, and fans of an exciting story, despite all the reviews, continue to wait for a meeting with the beloved hero of the Mission Impossible films. Tom Cruise in the image of Ethan Hunt is not a classic hero of the spy genre infallible and inaccessible superman. This is an ordinary guy with its own advantages and disadvantages. Ethan Matthew Hunt was born in Madison, Wisconsin, the only child of Margaret and Nathan Hunt. He spent his childhood at a dairy farm in Middlefield, New York. He was fond of sports, played for the school's baseball team. Upon graduation, Ethan enlisted in the infantry forces with the intention of becoming a ranger. After completing basic and airborne training, he was trained under the ranger training program. Upon completion, he was assigned to the third battalion of the 75th regiment under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Daniel David Briggs. On duty, he participated in hostilities during Operation Desert Storm. After four years in the army, Ethan Hunt is studying at the University of Pennsylvania in a double specialization - mechanical engineering and international relations.

Secret Service

On the recommendation of Briggs, who already held a high position in the CIA, Ethan was offered a job in this department immediately after graduation. After numerous checks, exams, interviews and psychological tests, the management concluded that Hunt is ideal for secret work outside the agency. The training of the candidate to all espionage tricks was done by the best management instructors. When the training was over, Ethan Hunt became an agent of a top-secret government organization called Mission Impossible. Hunt began his work in the service in a group of five people under the leadership of senior agent Jim Phelps. The team's tasks included penetrating carefully guarded objects, capturing important intelligence, destroying dangerous data and equipment, neutralizing the enemy as necessary, without leaving any traces. Ethan joined the group as a key figure with the legend "Transport Analyst, US Department of Transportation." Phelps' secret group differed from most others in their freedom in fulfilling the assigned task. The ways to achieve the result did not matter, so Hunt and his colleagues could act using any means, but in the event of a mission failure, the official service denied any connection with the team members and their actions.
