Actor Sergei Pakhomov: films with director Svetlana Baskova
Pakhomov gains popularity after filming in several films directed by Svetlana Baskova: “Kokki - the running doctor” (1998), “Green Elephant” (1999) and “Five bottles of vodka” (2002). All these films are made in the “trash” (thrash, which means “garbage” in English) genre, which is difficult for a sane person to perceive.
Sergey Pakhomov - an actor with dubious fame
The most noteworthy for Pakhomov was the role of the “traveler” in the film “Green Elephant”. Determining the genre of the project is quite difficult, because here we see the interweaving of tragicomedy, psychedelics, trash, arthouse and splatter. Some critics describe the film as "a tough anti-militaristic parable." Pakhomov played the role of a deceased junior officer on guardhouse, whose behavior was as irrational and absurdly shocking as possible - he led a rather obscene and obscene monologue, and later defecated in order to have breakfast with his own feces. Trash and bacchanalia in the film develop like an arithmetic progression - the hero of Pakhomov goes beyond all boundaries of what is permitted and reasonable. Although the film was shot in the late 90s, the spread to the masses and the highest interest in the film with similar content was noticeable in 2010, when the banned film began to appear on the Internet. The audience perceived it as a “sort of comedy”, which contributed to the emergence of various “Internet memes” with the participation of the heroes of this film.

Sergey Pakhomov is a very mysterious person, sometimes his words can seem like crazy nonsense, and sometimes - sayings of a genius. In fact, Pakhomov is a very well-read man, an intellectual, but his belonging to the counterculture left him with the stigma of a mentally ill person and a clown. He deliberately behaves this way or such a manner is natural, it is very difficult to guess.
