Stargate: ZV-1, or simply ZV-1, is a fantastic television series co-produced by Canada and the USA, based on the science fiction movie Stargate. The series was nominated for an Emmy Award. The creators of the television series are Jonathan Glassner and Brad Wright. The music for ZV-1 was written by composer Joel Goldsmith. The shooting took place in Canada, near Vancouver. The original film "Stargate" was released in 1994. It was shot by Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin.
Plot

Jack O'Neill
The protagonist of the project in seasons 1 through 8 is Lt. Col. Jack O'Neill. He participated in many special operations. Lt. Col. O'Neill led the mission through Stargate and in the original film. There, his role was played by actor Kurt Russell.
Jack is the commander of the ZV-1 group. He has romantic feelings for Samantha Carter, but never crosses the line, because the military charter does not allow this. By the end of the television project, Jack became the US Air Force general.
Samantha Carter
In episode 1 of the season 1 of Stargate: SV-1, Samantha Carter adjoins a team of researchers from other worlds. She is an outstanding scientist, astrophysicist, military. The title of Samantha is the captain of the US Air Force. Starting from the eighth season, Samantha first leads the ZV-1 group, and then helps Lieutenant Colonel Mitchell to become the group commander. Daniel Jackson

Tilk
The most interesting member of the ZV-1 team is the alien Tilk. In the television series, his role was played by African-American actor Christopher Judge. Tilk belongs to the Jaffa race. He once served as the first warrior at Goauld Apophis. Disappointed in his master, Tilk helps the ZV-1 team escape from captivity and joins them.
Tilk’s dream is to free all members of his race from enslaving the Goaulds. His dream will come true by the end of the eighth season of the television show.
George Hammond
The character of actor Don S. Davis is the Air Force Major General. He leads the Stargate project until Jack O'Nill takes his place. In 2008, the actor playing this role died of a heart attack. Hammond's last appearance in the project took place in the movie Stargate Continuum.
Cameron Mitchell
Cameron appears in the television series in 9 and 10 seasons. He, like Jack O'Neill once, is a US Air Force lieutenant colonel. He will lead the ZV-1 team. Cameron also appears in the feature films Stargate: Continuum and Stargate: The Ark of Truth.
Jonas Quinn
Actor Korin Nemek played the role of an alien Jonas in the series. This alien replaced Daniel Jackson in a team of researchers in season 6. Viewers can watch the fate of Quinn for three seasons from the fifth to the seventh. Daniel Jackson gives his life to defend the homeland of Jonas.

In 2009, after the closure of the television series "Stargate: Atlantis" on the Syfy Universal TV channel, the show began a new television series "Stargate: The Universe."
