Russian goalkeeper Dmitry Abakumov

Abakumov Dmitry is a Russian footballer playing for Orenburg. He plays the goalkeeper position. He is only 27 years old, which is quite small by goalkeeper standards, so Dmitry Abakumov can still achieve a lot in his career.

Carier start

Abakumov Dmitry was born on July 8, 1989 in Russia, in the city of Voronezh, where he began to play football at the academy at the local Fakel club. In 2007, when he was 17 years old, he went through a viewing at CSKA Moscow and joined one of the country's strongest clubs, signing a professional contract with him. However, he did not happen to play a single match. Abakumov Dmitry played only for the double before the winter of 2009, when he was given to KAMAZ as unnecessary.

Transition to KAMAZ

The goalkeeper did not play at the new place right away - for a long time he was sitting on the bench. The athlete entered the field only in case of emergency. But after a while he had a chance, and he took advantage of it. The goalkeeper defended 35 matches in KAMAZ, having lost 37 goals, after which he was acquired by the Saransk Mordovia.

The game for "Mordovia"

However, Dmitry Abakumov did not get a full-fledged game practice here either - the goalkeeper statistics in Mordovia turned out to be not the most impressive. Over the entire season, he entered the field only 14 times, having missed 24 goals. As a result, the club parted with the player, giving it to Orenburg, for which he stands to this day.

Success at Orenburg

After long and unsuccessful wanderings in different clubs, Abakumov finally found his home, where he was welcomed. Orenburg immediately trusted the 25-year-old goalkeeper, putting him in the starting lineup. As a result, the rate was justified, and Dmitry reserved a place at the base. Since then, he spent 75 matches for the club, having conceded in them only fifty goals.

But in the current season, he became less and less likely to get into the starting lineup, as Orenburg reached a new level, which required more upscale players. The Belarusian goalkeeper Alexander Gutor came to the club , who had previously played for Dynamo Minsk. He pushed Abakumov out of the starting lineup. As a result, Dmitry has only played five matches to date, but he played them just fine. He missed only one goal in four of them, and in the fifth, unfortunately, missed three at once, because of which he returned to the bench again.
