Have you thought about why this or that product repels or attracts? This is a very interesting system that designers around the world adhere to to achieve their goal. They face a lot of problems that are solved with the help of knowledge and experience. In a world of technological possibilities, designers solve problems with color rendering using a safe color chart.
Color role
In the modern world, design lives at every turn. Almost all familiar objects have a design vision. When properly designed, basic principles must be present that guarantee a perfect result: conciseness and a sense of color.
Laconicism restrains the designer from unnecessary visual tricks, a large number of which only repels the user. The ability to work with color, in turn, carries a huge amount of information. Color conveys the desired mood and atmosphere and inspires the viewer with a characteristic about the company or product.
Any designer knows that a correctly selected color scheme solves a lot, because the user's first impression of the site is created thanks to the coloristic solution. That color can be called a powerful factor that affects the relationship of the consumer and the product presented.
Color value
Two main groups can be distinguished:
- red, yellow, blue;
- orange, green, purple.
The first three is different from the second in that these colors cannot be created by mixing others. These two groups are the basis of color solutions and allow you to create the right amount of shades.
Before using any color, it is worth thinking about its connection with the client himself and with the object, whether it is a website or printing products. Each shade at different points on the Earth has a different meaning. Red for us represents love, passion, arousal, and in China this color conveys purity and good luck.
Familiar yellow helps us feel the warmth of the sun. In Europe, this color shows cowardice, and in Asia, it reflects the importance of the title in society. Blue gives a feeling of heavenly calm, and in the West this color creates depression.
Orange and green basically carry the symbolism of life and harvest. Contrast purple conveys mourning or healing.
Many people perceive a coloristic decision in different ways. A number of designers forget about people with disabilities, namely, color blind. In some cases, a well-designed site will not look like that for this category of people, which makes up 9% of the population. In order for the design of the product to be attractive to everyone, you should first consider most of the possible problems that anyone can face. One of these problems can be handled by the well-described safe color chart on the Internet.
Color story
In order for the design solution to be harmonious and to fulfill all its tasks of attracting attention, you first need to understand the history of color. A certain number of people have a sense of taste, which allows them to easily combine different shades in their work. And those who are not sure of their capabilities can safely use the color wheel. It was created by Isaac Newton, putting forward for the world consideration of the theory of light and color in 1666. It is this knowledge that laid the foundation for the development of optical laws.
With the help of a transparent prism, Newton was able to decompose ordinary light into seven colors of the usual rainbow. Thanks to this experiment, a color wheel appeared, which presents the viewer with basic, close and contrasting colors.
Safe color chart
When creating design for Internet resources, few fans take into account technological capabilities. However, an experienced designer knows that the color rendering on different screens may differ from each other. That is, the same color can be seen by the user in completely different ways. In some situations, when the browser cannot convey a specific color, it shows a similar tone or mixes several others.
This problem was solved by some masters of their craft, and among them the Russian designer Artemy Lebedev. He introduced a safe color chart for use on the web. It is these colors that are displayed on all screens equally and are not distorted in any way.
A complete table introduced the viewer to 216 colors - 36 combinations of 6 shades of primary colors. Two indicators are indicated above each component of the table. The first is RGB for use in graphic editors. And the second HEX stands for HTML in the Lebedev safe color table for seeing tones on the Web.
