The popularity of the saga "Naruto" is quite difficult to overestimate, we can say that a whole generation has grown on this anime. From the moment Boruto appeared on the screens, the public’s interest in the setting jumped again, but a neophyte who is not familiar with the original can find it difficult to understand the relationships and the origin of the main characters, not to mention the secondary characters. The new chapter, like the previous two seasons of the anime, is full of storylines closely intertwined with its predecessors, so special attention should be paid to some old heroes, not fully disclosed. Perhaps anime fans remember this mysterious insect-controlling shinobi, but for beginners, his personality raises questions. It's about Aburama Shino.
Clan aburama
This is one of the clans of the Hidden Leaf village. For all the seasons of the Naruto epic, its members appeared only a few times, but the main characters can be called two representatives of the fighting style specializing in insect control - Aburama Shino and Aburama Torun. The clan specializes in symbiosis with a parasitic insect species, Kikachu (destruction bugs). Parasites feed on the chakra (the internal energy of the shinobi needed to materialize abilities or manifest other techniques), instead giving members of the Aburama clan additional opportunities in battle: paralysis, poison, mind control, espionage, combat support, regeneration. Aburama Shino is in alliance with insects from birth.
Shino grew up with Torun, whom the Shinobi family sheltered after losing his parents. When Shino noted the poisonous bugs of Torun, he decided to develop for himself a new subspecies of insects resistant to poison. Later he succeeded, which became the trump card of the hero in the battle with the rebel Torun. Previously, he was supposed to enter Anbu, but Torun saved him from this need, volunteering, thereby saving the fate of young Shino.
Clan Hallmark
Almost all representatives of Aburama lead a reclusive lifestyle and rarely enter into open conflicts. Their destiny is espionage, sabotage and support in battle. Shinobi Aburama can use bugs to eavesdrop or stealth attacks. The clothing style of the clan members is similar and consists in the most closed suits. The reason the Aburama clan is hiding its eyes is unknown. Aburama Shino practically does not appear without glasses on the screen. Personality of the hero and manner of behavior
As in the case of the main trio, Aburama Shino is a kind of opposition to the hot-tempered Kiba, with whom he is in the Kurenai team along with Hinata Hyuuga. Kiba believes that Shino is arrogant, cold and arrogant. Directly, the hero himself claims that he is not prone to emotional outbursts due to constant contact with bugs. Shino’s company is extremely rare, preferring the reclusive lifestyle. As a hobby, he prefers collecting beetles, which he also advises Hinate to do, perhaps, to one of the few residents of Konoha, with whom a member of the Aburama clan made friends.
Relationship
Shino's relationship with friends is quite complicated. Because of frightening techniques and a tendency to isolation, he is considered strange, because of which they shun. The hero himself considers this extremely offensive, which periodically emphasizes. So, for example, he did not go on a mission to “save” Sasuke, as he was busy on another mission. This greatly offended Shino, after which he tries to spend more time with the team. Later, the hero’s relationship with Kiba returned to normal. Kurenai has repeatedly stated that she is proud of the cohesion of subordinates and pupils.
Techniques and Abilities
The main trump card of the hero in the battle is bugs. The eerie symbiosis of clan members with insects can become a factor in surprise and give the shinobi a few seconds necessary to seize the initiative. In the battle, Aburama Shino relies heavily on insects, practically without using genjutsu (techniques aimed at perceiving the enemy) and taijutsu (hand-to-hand combat). However, he is in the status of Chuunin and more than once was able to prove the effectiveness of his techniques in battle. Shino is able to create a cloud of bugs, send it to the enemy, send insects to the enemy, while he was in ambush. However, shinobi is used by its parasites not only for attack, in the Shino arsenal there is a wall of bugs that allows them to hide behind them like a shield.
Beetles appear at the places where the chakra leaves the body of the shinobi, at first their number is limited, but the adult Aburama Shino is able to call a huge number of insects. In addition, the Chuunin is interested in developing the techniques of his clan and often spends his leisure time observing the bugs in search of new abilities to control and use them in battle. Like other members of the clan, Aburama Shino breeds beetles, but it is not known whether, for example, the poisonous brothers Kikachu used by Toruna are accessible to him. The hero prefers to calculate the situation ahead, has analytical skills, and therefore is extremely confident in his abilities. Without owning the situation, Shino will not enter the battle, and therefore almost always wins in those brawls that are acceptable to him.

The past Aburama Shino remains a mystery. The story of the character begins with the Chuunin exam, where he and the team observe the fight with Gaara. How exactly the hero showed himself at the academy, and the names and background of his parents remain behind the scenes. If each of the characters introduces the viewer into an excursion, then this hero simply appears in the main storyline. He easily defeated Zaku (the shinobi from the village of the Hidden Sound), after which he practically did not appear in the main plot. In the final, he was supposed to fight Kankuro from the village of Hidden Sand, but he simply surrendered. Later, when the trio’s operation, led by Gaara, failed and the shinobi retreated, Shino still had the opportunity to measure strength with the enemy. The fight ended in poisoning for Shino and complete exhaustion for Kankuro. The hero was saved by his father with the help of his own bugs, which pulled poison from the body.
In Hurricane Chronicles
Later, Shino practically did not appear on the screen. He participated in the assault on the fortifications of Akatsky and was noted in the general war against Obito and Madara, but his narrative receded into the background, passing in front of the main characters. Shinobi grew up, but remained faithful to his ideals. Shino’s clothing and behavior changed somewhat, but otherwise he remained the same. For what reason, the authors abandoned the idea to reveal the hero completely, it is not clear. However, with the moment the epilogue of “Hurricane Chronicles” was published, it became known that the hero survived and even planned to become a mentor at the academy. His relationship with the team has improved, Shino consoles Hinata after losing his brother, and the members of the Aburama clan are no longer considered strange outcasts. He was also at the wedding of Naruto with the heiress of the Hugo clan.
At Boruto
Adult Shino Aburame changed his outfit to a more suitable one for sensei, but still avoids open suits and remained faithful to the habit of wearing glasses. However, he remained an extremely calm, quiet and even unemotional character. The hero recognizes the qualities of the leader Naruto and his talent, but, as in the case of Sasuke, seeks to fight with someone strong. He prefers to transfer his experience to everyone.
