This is a CERE analysis, which is deciphered as follows: a study of weaknesses (C), strengths (C), opportunities that the environment provides (B), and probabilistic threats that may also arise from outside in relation to a particular company (U )
An example of a SWOT analysis of an organization can be built on the basis of three versions of this technique: a simple, consolidated or mixed analytical study (the latter is a combination of the first two methods).
A simple CVS analysis is based on the fact that the company identifies weaknesses and strengths, as well as threats and opportunities for its environment, which are then considered in this context: “How can our positive qualities be used to use the available options?”, “How negative aspects of the business environment can impede the realization of our strong positions? ”,“ How can our advantages resist destructive factors? ” and “How can external business threats adversely affect a company’s situation if they affect identified vulnerabilities?”
Examples of SWOT analysis of such a plan show that the study may be ineffective, because correlate only factors that are related to external good or negative points. For example, such a position as highly qualified employees may not be considered at all if there are no positive or negative attitudes from outside for it.
Examples of the SWOT analysis of the master plan at the initial stage allow you to determine the positions that may affect the development of the company in the next 1-5 years. These are the same obvious advantages (not what can be done, but what the firm is really strong at), which may include experience and image, company history, managerial and financial capabilities, special technologies, qualifications and special ways of relations between employees and etc. The same elements are included in vulnerable positions as in strengths, but with an indication of what impedes the development of the company.
Examples of SWOT analysis (summary) usually contain an indication of the significance of a particular parameter, as well as weighing each advantage or disadvantage on a particular scale to determine the probability of an event. In some cases, if information flows allow, their own positive and negative positions are compared with information on competing firms.
Examples of SWOT analysis using a consolidated methodology make it possible to evaluate external threats and opportunities for a company in the same way. This takes into account the likelihood of a particular phenomenon, a comparison of the company's capabilities for processing it. For example, you can evaluate how attractive a particular market opportunity is from the point of view of the interests of customers, the ability of an organization, the activity of competitors, market demand and political, economic, social and technological factors.
How to optimally conduct a SWOT analysis? An example of an enterprise with a successful structure of such studies shows that analytical work should be performed with a certain frequency for internal and external factors, which:
A. Are significant with a low probability (observation).
B. Are very significant, high probability of occurrence. They need to be used or eliminated (for negative ones).
B. They are not of particular importance, but the probability of occurrence is large (studies are being conducted).
G. Not significant, low probability (neglect).
