Cough without fever

If there are any problems in the respiratory tract, the body naturally responds to them with a cough in order to get rid of sputum or anything else. Coughing is not a disease, but only a signal that not everything is in order in the body, that is, an inflammatory process is taking place in it. Basically, this reaction happens to acute respiratory infections affecting both the upper and lower respiratory tract.

Compared with adults, children get sick more often, and coughing without fever in a child is rare. It can occur due to inflammation of the pharynx, sinuses, or can cause adenoids. It can also be allergic in nature - a reaction to dust, household chemicals or perfumes.

In any case, cough just doesnโ€™t occur. If a prolonged cough is kept without fever, then this may be a sign of bronchitis or even pneumonia.

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchi, damage to the mucous membrane. Basically, bronchitis is the consequences of acute respiratory infections, and coughing without fever often accompanies it. At the very beginning of the disease, it is usually dry. It is especially difficult at night when, due to a choking cough, it is almost impossible to fall asleep. In children, it can cause vomiting. After some time, the cough is moistened and accompanied by sputum production, and during this period the patient becomes a little easier to tolerate. Also, bronchitis, which accompanies a cough without fever, very often causes a headache, impaired appetite.

As soon as the first symptoms of the disease appear, it is necessary to immediately begin the fight against cough. But before treating it, you need to find out the nature of the cough and the reasons that caused it. If it is dry, then sputum is released in very small amounts or not at all. In order for it to become wet and with phlegm, mucus must form. In the meantime, in her absence, the cough will be overwhelming and debilitating.

But to alleviate the condition of the patient there are antitussive drugs that soothe the mucous membrane. In addition to bronchitis, a strong dry cough without fever causes tuberculosis. Also during pregnancy, it can be dangerous for many reasons. In particular, the abdomen is always under tension, as coughing causes a reduction in ligaments, muscles constantly tighten, and all this can result in bleeding. Therefore, you need to get rid of it as soon as possible.

Since a cough without fever can be very long, lingering, you can resort to traditional medicine, which, as always, is a lifesaver in all life situations. But here everyone already chooses his own individual remedy, depending on the characteristics of his body.

An effective remedy for dry cough is all kinds of inhalations. A positive result is achieved instantly. The most commonly used method is steamed potatoes in their uniforms. You can use baking soda or alkaline mineral water. Also used for inhalation decoctions of chamomile, plantain, sage, St. John's wort. It is very popular for coughing and decoction of linden blossom. Over boiling water, inhalation is not recommended. Vapors should be inhaled five minutes after turning off the boiling water.

There is also the so-called physiological cough, which is not a manifestation of any disease, but simply accompanies our daily lives. It periodically cleans our respiratory system from the ingress of any foreign bodies, accumulated sputum, and so on. However, many take a physiological cough as pathological and, knowing that a cough can serve as a prerequisite for a disease and without fever, very often they sound a false alarm.

In fact, such a cough is short-term, associated only with releasing our bronchi from the mucus that accumulated overnight, and not at all with the manifestation of any disease.
