Andrey Sidersky. Biography. "Yoga 23"

Yoga today is widespread almost everywhere, it is incredibly popular among women, men and even children. But few of those who are passionate about classes “superficially” know why owing to this, oriental “gymnastics” came not only to our country, but also began to march around the world.

What led Siders to a passion for yoga?

Once in Kiev, a boy was born in a family of ordinary engineering workers, his last name, like that of his parents, was Sidersky. The biography of the future yoga master begins in 1960. Six years after birth, the baby was in danger of remaining immobilized. The rapid development of curvature of the spine could lead to complete paralysis of the lower extremities.

Andrey Sidersky

The luminaries of Ukrainian orthopedics, Professor Zherdinovsky and Dr. Putilova, helped to defeat the disease. Sidersky himself today says that their method of therapeutic gymnastics was as good as the nowadays popular system of ingenious Pilates. Health-improving exercises were supplemented by sports swimming, which was accompanied by lengthy workouts “on land”. By 1975, scoliosis was stopped. Siders was carried away by what is called diving today. His trainer Z. N. Berman, who has earned more than one award in world swimming, respected yoga and put into practice many of its respiratory and gymnastic elements.

Three years later, Andrey Vladimirovich Sidersky became a student at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. Here he immediately joined the local sports club of scuba diving enthusiasts and for the first time came across a specialized publication in yoga, which made him understand that Indian practices have accompanied him almost from childhood. Andrei read a lot of samizdat literature, translated foreign authors and formed his own view on miraculous techniques, many of which were put into practice.

In 1980, he became an underwater sports instructor and high-speed swimming coach at the Atlantis University Club. Many years of experience and a rich theoretical base allowed Andrei Vladimirovich to introduce new techniques in working with wards of swimmers.

How did Sidersky become a yoga master?

Sidersky’s coaching activity did not stand still; in 1988 he improved his qualifications and at the same time continued to use yoga techniques in his work. Since 1989, he headed the Department of Yoga Therapy at the Avicenna Medical Center in Kiev.

Andrey Vladimirovich Sidersky

When the USSR collapsed, Andrei Sidersky was able to go abroad to gain practical knowledge of yoga from such well-known masters as V. Van Kuten and A. Farmer, who had studied under Iyengar himself. He was interested in the Ukrainian yogi and practitioners of oriental martial arts, comprehending the secrets of teaching from many world-famous experts: S. Remete, Chen Van Pan, Sri Indara and others.

Having comprehended all the basics of "classics", Sidersky gradually, like most advanced masters, came to his own intuitive understanding of the system. Having tested on himself absolutely everything that he studied, through injuries and tension, strong-willed efforts and thoughtful study, he was able to create such a practical technique that could be available for beginners to master and lead them to the desired result as quickly as possible. It was the greatest attention paid by Andrei to the practice and the search for new solutions that made it possible to create a truly adequate system focused on modern society.

What preceded the advent of the Y23 technique?

The first large-scale development that Andrey Sidersky created was a special technique for organizing underwater gymnastics for the respiratory system, called “Plavita-sadhana”. For four years it has been improved. The second "brainchild" of the yogi was "Short Pranayama", designed as a warm-up from a series of short exercises for breathing. After modernization in 2007, this technique entered the base of the Boex complex, which is used today by the greatest world swimmers.

Yoga studio

Separately for yoga teachers and trainers, Sidersky also created a purely professional technique. All these developments encouraged him to open his educational complex in 2005, and Sidersky Yoga Studio appeared, which opened its doors to both beginners and professionals.

Today, qigong and yoga classes operate in this largest studio in Eastern Europe, and various psycho-physical techniques are practiced. Sidersky is trying in his practices, presented in the classroom, to optimize the functionality and psychoenergetic complexes as best as possible.

A yoga studio created by Andrei Vladimirovich combines fitness and highly effective oriental techniques in perfect proportions. At the same time, the classes are structured so that even an extremely busy modern resident of the metropolis can conveniently join them.

What is the essence of the Yoga 23 system?

Having systematized the long-term achievements, Sidersky came to the creation of a special practice, which, according to the author himself, was significantly different from "what is usually done in our country."

Yoga 23

In 2008, “Yoga 23” appeared, so named for the number of sets of exercises involved in building individual and group programs. The system improved for two more years and expanded its base. It included training techniques of martial arts, fitness, yoga, diving and sports swimming. It is considered unique that, with the right approach, this system is able to safely provide good results in a fairly short period of time.

The bottom line is a set of exercises that are matrices; and the forms that the body takes in the process of training are original “units of code” sent to the world matrix and changing our information space. The methodology is aimed at the fact that its adjustment to each individual can help achieve their desired goal. The author emphasizes that the use of such techniques is possible only with the correct intention and observance of moral principles. Otherwise, exercises can harm not only health, but also the fate of a person as a whole.

Sidereal yoga

Through those practices that Sidersky introduced into training, yoga in his system is successfully used for rehabilitation, therapeutic and general developmental purposes.

Other Sideways Developments in Yoga

For those who practice yoga at a fairly high level, Andrei has created another system that includes specialized short workouts arranged in a certain sequence. Otherwise, this project is called GYAMS or "Yoga Gymnastics - control mini-series."

Continuing to develop "Yoga 23", on its basis, Andrey Sidersky brought out a new direction of YOGA 23 Fitness. This is a fairly dynamic workout with emphasis on the special principle of breathing. The difficulty level here is lower than in the basic program. Classes are built according to the time of day - depending on their energy information content. All muscles and organs participate in training, which ensures the healing of the whole organism as a whole.

What does Sidersky say about yoga?

Andrei Sidersky perceives yoga as the finest tuned system of the comprehensive, not just bodily, development of the individual. A variety of techniques are able to influence the functioning of the brain, which gives the key to controlling both consciousness and the surrounding space. Other systems aimed exclusively at psychotechnics cannot be so effective due to the fact that little attention is paid to physiology and energy.

Sideways biography

To understand this principle (which later found confirmation in the writings of the ancient Naths), a persistent yogi was helped by works from the field of theoretical physics.

Yoga for Sidersky is a vocation, dharma, that which he does with pleasure, feeling his destiny. He admits that the author’s system can be perfected only by himself. Seeing the many consequences of the illiterate application of yoga practices in modern fitness centers, Andrei Vladimirovich is trying to do everything so that these negative trends are eliminated.

What else does the famous yogi do?

The practice and theory of yoga and psychotronic techniques is far from everything Sidersky does. The books of the world-famous yogi, although not numerous, are very popular among those who are interested in oriental practices. Andrei Vladimirovich released three large-scale works devoted to various aspects of Hatha Yoga: “The Third Discovery of Power”, “Hatha Yoga” and “Yoga of Eight Circles”. He also writes feature articles and poetry.

In addition to writing his own works, the master devoted a lot of time to translating the works of P. Kalder, K. Castaneda, M. Chia, R. Bach and medieval hatha yoga treatises.

A new kind of art or a special type of thinking?

Sidersky is also known as the founder of a special kind of art designed to change and shape the surrounding space. He writes paintings consisting of geometric and color combinations, which in a certain way can influence, for example, the human consciousness. He himself is inclined to attribute such psychotronic art to a certain kind of “design activity”, which is absolutely not mixed with emotions. In a similar vein, he develops sculptural compositions.

In general, such ideas are not new - they were clear to many abstract artists. Sidersky gave his work ultimate functionality. His psi art is designed to awaken a latent potential in a person and tune him to know the inner world.

Sidersky is a unique person, a genius of his kind, who was able to bring something radically new to the generally accepted system, but not denying the achievements of the previous masters. His life is a demonstration of the fact that each person has his own destiny, embodying which, he improves the world.
