Milgamma is a complex of B vitamins intended for the treatment of inflammatory processes and degenerative diseases of the motor apparatus and nerves. The drug is intended not so much to eliminate deficient conditions as to normalize blood formation processes and improve the functioning of the nervous system.
What is part of the drug?
The composition of the drug includes neurotropic vitamins belonging to group B, which are used in a therapeutic dose to treat pathology of the musculoskeletal system, diseases of the nervous tissue and impaired nerve conduction. In large doses, milgamma (injections) contribute to analgesia, significantly improve blood formation and microcirculation, restore the nervous system. The drug is intended for intramuscular administration. A special distinguishing feature of milgamma is that it contains vitamins B1, B6, B12 and lidase, a similar principle contributes to a rather effective pain relief.
Milgamma (injections) application
Milgamma (injections) is used for symptomatic treatment of diseases of the nervous system of a wide variety of origins (neuralgia, neuritis, polyneuropathy, radicular syndromes, myalgia, facial paresis, herpes zoster), as well as some systemic diseases that are caused by a deficiency of B vitamins and some others.
Milgamma ( injections ) contraindications
Milgamma is contraindicated in newborns, especially premature babies, due to the high alcohol content. It is not recommended to use the drug for acute severe forms of heart failure, as well as for hypersensitivity to individual components of the drug. A direct contraindication to the use of the drug is a violation of cardiac conduction.
Side effects of the drug
In some cases, when using the drug, allergic reactions are not ruled out, sometimes tachycardia, increased sweating, itching, hives, acne can be observed. In rare cases, with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, difficulty breathing, edema and, as a result, anaphylactic shock may appear. With too fast administration of the drug, systemic reactions sometimes occur (arrhythmia, dizziness, convulsions), which can also occur with an overdose of the drug.
Milgamma (injections) method of administration and dose
Milgamma is used as an injection 2 ml intramuscularly once a day, the treatment lasts 2-3 weeks, then it is recommended to continue taking the drug 1 tablet daily. In some cases, a maintenance dose of 2 ml 2-3 times a week may be prescribed. With the intramuscular injection of the drug, its rapid absorption occurs, it enters the bloodstream and enters the nerve cells. It is here that vitamins are actively involved in metabolic processes, which leads to a significant acceleration of biochemical reactions.
Therapeutic effect of the drug
In general, the drug has a high therapeutic activity, it improves blood circulation, relieves pain and activates metabolic processes in nerve cells. Milgamma analogs and the drug itself are prescribed at the very beginning of the treatment of trigeminal neuritis, when the patient is so worried about the pain that it can cause him anxiety, depression and even thoughts of suicide. After the pain subsides a little, you can proceed to taking the drug in a dragee. Milgamma and alcohol are not used in combination, although reliable data on the interaction of these two components are not available.
Milgamma is a complex of vitamins that is intended to improve the quality of life of patients with various somatic and organic diseases, which means that the drug is available for any category of the population.
