The skinhead movement is not as relevant today as it was several years ago. Skinhead guys who wholeheartedly believe in the idea of National Socialism no longer meet on the street. Particularly noteworthy are films about skins that tell about the difficult life of ambiguous characters. There are a lot of pictures on this subject, but not every director managed to create heroes whom one wants to not only hate, but also empathize with them. Films about skins or, as they are also called "skinheads", are usually shot in the genre of social drama, in which many vices of modern society are examined. Clear business, many works are remembered not only by a plot, but also by bright heroes. It is films about skins, the list of which we will give here, that became the main topic of this article.
"Skins" (Romper Stomper, 1992)
One of the first paintings that told about the difficult fate of a group of ultra-right teenagers. Many modern skins films come to be precisely the work of Jeffrey Wright. The main role was played by the notorious Russell Crowe.
The action takes place in one of the poor regions of Melbourne. Here, Asians and neo-Nazis, who believe that this is their land, have to get along with each other. A businessman acquires a club where Asian youth is entertained. Of course, this arrangement is not really like tattooed shaven-headed guys. They believe that Asians not only cannot buy buildings here, but also live. Teens led by radical ideology set out to do order. However, no one could have thought that the Asians would not be afraid of the white guys and would give a serious rebuff.
Almost all films about skins and hooligans are filled with violence, and Romper Stomper was no exception. Hatred of another nation, blood and black humor. However, a place was found for human feelings. Amid the robbery, a love line cuts out, which divorces two friends on opposite sides.
Films about skins are pretty cruel, so children are not recommended to watch them. In addition, in these paintings, the plot line, which is rather complicated for understanding, is brought to the first place. American History X (1998)

Derek Vinyard is the leader of the local skinhead gang. He is cruel and unprincipled, and especially does not like people with different skin colors. He is convinced of his ideology, without regret cracking down on all those who disagree. Danny is the hero’s younger brother. He respects his brother very much for his determination. Danny already knows which path he will take. Derek brutally cracking down on two African-Americans, for which he will face imprisonment. The brothers will go their separate ways in order to come together again in a few years.
American History X is a social drama with great cast and plot. The film tells about the subculture of skins, their views, relationships. It is definitely recommended for viewing to spectators who are interested in this movement.
"Fanatic"
An ambiguous film about a Jewish skin. The director managed to surprise the audience with an extraordinary approach to shooting a film about skinheads. Seasoned with good acting and musical background, it has become one of the most popular films about the subculture.
Danny Balint is a 22-year-old Jew. From an early age he distinguished himself among his peers as freethinking, for which he was expelled from the seminary. Having matured, Danny shaves his hair and gathers a team of like-minded people who sincerely believe in the ideas of neo-Nazism. The group submits to its leader and is ready to go to kill those who are objectionable to him. However, Danny begins to tear apart doubts - in his heart he is still a Jew, and among his friends - an inveterate skinhead. The life of a young man is now divided into two parts. He reads books in Hebrew at night, and brutally treats Jews during the day. Sooner or later, he will have a choice. One question remains: which one?
The picture turned out to be quite interesting and clearly deserves the attention of the viewer, even far from the theme of the skinhead movement. Definitely, Fanatic is a great movie about skins.
"Russia 88"
Russian works about ultra-right groups cannot be ignored. Perhaps the most famous painting is "Russia 88". The film caused a flurry of a variety of reviews and reviews. Some critics called him cruel and calling for hatred, others - an excellent project that accurately described the life of Russian skins.
"Russia 88" is a gang of skinheads who shoot campaign videos to attract new members. In addition, the ordinary life of adherents of neo-Nazism falls into the camera lens. Everyone has families, loving parents, friends. But the leader of the gang, nicknamed "Bayonet" has a sister who meets with a Caucasian. The camera accompanies the brother until the end, who is not happy with the relationship of his beloved sister. Romance very quickly turns into a tragedy.

The film was not only a story about the life of a skinhead, but also a ticket to a big movie for Tim Roth, who played a major role.
Trevor is a skinhead from England. However, the rules of any subculture are alien to him. He knows only about the worst aspects of neo-Nazism. He robs ordinary citizens, steals, uses drugs. Of course, such a lifestyle leads the young man to the dock. Everyone considers him a scoundrel, who has a place in prison. Correct the situation of a young man called one of the employees of social services. Will rehabilitation help the young man, or will he continue to slide to the bottom?
The Hooligans (2004)
A cult film about football fans, which has already become a classic.
Matt Buckner was recently a student in the journalism department, but he was charged with a crime and expelled. His whole future life is in doubt, there is no education and work. In search of a better life, he goes to the UK, where his sister lives. Here he meets Pete, who shows him an interesting world of street fans. With a new friend, Matt creates his own company, which includes the most reckless.
Haircut (2010)
Despite the small budget, the director managed to create a good movie about skins. Here, the viewer will not see famous actors and dynamic scenes, but will get acquainted with the life of neo-Nazis.
The story is told about a young man who has high expectations, but falls under the influence of skinhead groups. Now he is a fan of the Radnik football club and an ardent supporter of radical ideology. Together with new friends, he is ready to defend his ideals. But will he go to the end?
“Haircut”, despite the rather expected denouement, captures the viewer and keeps in suspense until the final credits. Well-designed characters make them empathize with, despite the terrible deeds.
"This is England"
Crime drama, where the main role was played by the young actor Thomas Turgus. It is able to surprise the viewer by telling a story about traditional skinheads, for which it is important not so much to rise above other nations as to have fun.
Sean is a 12-year-old student. He lives in a coastal town, most recently lost his father in the war. The boy was tired of the ordinary life and constant nitpicking of classmates. But one day everything changes. Sean meets a group of skinhead teenagers who are just having fun. The guys take a sad guy to their company and show him all the charms of a subculture. He is waiting for fun and fashionable clothes, as well as love relationships. The idyll is violated by Combo, the leader of the group, who just got out of prison. It differs from adolescents in that it adheres to more radical views, which are also imposed on Sean.
