Culinary smoothness - what is it? Most people, most likely, do not know either the composition or the properties of this type of fabric. Moreover, it often happens that the farm has the named fabric and is even very actively used, but the fact that it is called the cooler is most often not known to its owners. So what is it?
General description of the cooler
You need to start with the fact that the culinary surface is a fabric that is usually made of very thin cotton threads. The production of this type of fabric is carried out using machine stocking. The named type of fabric is considered completely natural. It is very thin and also quite smooth. Most often used for sewing things such as sundresses, T-shirts, shorts, dresses, bathrobes or shirts. In addition, this material is very actively used for sewing a variety of children's clothing.
Another feature of the culinary smoothness is that it absorbs water perfectly and at the same time has a high rate of air permeability. These features have led to the fact that this fabric is successful in sewing clothes for sports.
What qualities does the fabric have?
If you carefully read the description of the culinary smoothness, you can see that it is two-sided. And if you carefully examine its outer side, you can notice the so-called spikelets. These are threads that are intertwined in a certain way, among themselves. On the inside there are "bricks" corresponding to the "spikelets".
It should be noted a very important fact - the cooler can differ in strength from each other. This fabric parameter directly depends on the quality of processing of the cotton fabric for which grinding is used. Naturally, the stronger the cooking surface, the more expensive the product from it will cost, since the quality of the item will be much higher.
Another important quality of the cooler is that it serves for quite some time. Things sewn from this fabric are characterized by a high rate of wear resistance. A nice addition is the fact that modern methods of printing - silk-screen printing and printing - fit perfectly on the fabric. This provides a very wide opportunity for the design of clothing from the smooth surface. 100% cotton, which is used to make kulirki, can be diluted with materials such as, for example, lycra.
Lycra and Culira
If you combine these two types of fibers and create a thing from them, you get the "Peña" cooler. Adding lycra affects the fact that the clothes significantly increase elasticity, which significantly increases the comfort of things. Another feature of the lycra cooler is that it stretches perfectly wide, allowing you to create things that tightly fit the figure.
We can not say that this fabric has some disadvantages. Of these minuses, the fact that untreated fabric has the property of wrapping itself up, and therefore it is not very convenient to use such things in work, stands out. Otherwise, there are practically no shortcomings in clothes from the kulirka.
Knitted cooler
It is immediately worth explaining how the described knitted fabric differs from other fabrics. Of the most significant indicators, it is immediately worth highlighting that it is very soft, has elasticity, stretches over the figure of a person while wearing, and after it is removed, it takes its previous shape.
More often than not, people mistakenly believe that only artificial or synthetic fiber can impart all of these fabric qualities. However, this is a misconception, since the knitted fabric may well be woven from natural cotton, wool, silk threads. So, knitted cooler is a very thin and at the same time smooth and soft fabric, which is made from pure cotton.
What qualities does knitwear have?
The most important feature is that knitwear is created by weaving loops, not threads. It is immediately important to note here that the methods of connecting loops can be very different. Thanks to this quality, it is possible to create clothes from knitwear with a variety of parameters.
You can give an example of the rocker weave. This is a way to create knitwear by forming all the loops of a row of one or several threads. Jerseys created in this way have a specific fabric structure. The front side is the most common “pigtails”, and the inside is covered with “brickwork”. This weaving method is also often called "stocking knitting". Regardless of the material used to create the garment, it will be characterized by lightness and subtlety.
You can add lycra and elastane to cotton fibers. The addition of these materials entails the following changes:
- With thin weaving, the density of clothing will be less than 160 g per 1 square. m. Despite the great airiness, clothing will be very durable. Thanks to this, knitwear production is especially justified where it is planned to sew children's clothing.
- No wrinkles will form on things. The presence of loop weaving fully ensures the restoration of the canvas after the pressure disappears.
Varieties of Culinary Knitwear
It is important to note here that strength and softness indicators depend not only on weaving, but also on the quality of the starting material. Most often, only three types are used for a cooler:
- The first is "Song". This type of raw material is the most expensive and high quality. This is because the yarn from this fiber can reach 79 cm, and the longer the thread, the stronger it will be, and the better it will restore its original shape. Threads for yarn undergo a mandatory grinding process.
- The second is Carde. Here, the yarn reaches no more than 35 mm in length. When compared with "Peña", this material will be more stretched, and the service life of things will be significantly reduced.
- The third type is called Open End. This yarn is the shortest - up to 27 mm. In addition, residues from the first two threads are actively used here. This type of fabric wrinkles quite strongly. For this reason, things that are sewn from Open End are most often delivered to places where there is no need to clearly preserve the shape of the thing and the absence of folds.
