Roller-skiing track - a place of rest for cyclists, skaters and skiers

Fans of skiing always take the moment to get out on the track and take a walk, but far from all regions can boast of a year-round ski season. What to do? Suffer every year in the off-season in the snow? Inventive athletes found a way out. Skiing on wheels - ski scooters - are becoming increasingly popular.

What are ski rollers

Skiers can, on the one hand, be compared to skis: they are similar in shape and have boot mounts. On the other hand, a board on wheels resembles a scooter. But with nothing to compare, and this sports equipment is becoming increasingly popular, and for a long time not only among ski lovers.

Of course, skaters do not need to wait for winter and snow, which in many regions does not exist at all. We need smooth tracks with a hard surface, but this is easier. By the way, the designers came up with inflatable wheels for miraculous skiing, you can ride them even along dirt tracks and paths without looking for a special ski-roller track. Skis on rubber inflatable wheels are more stable and are recommended especially for beginners. Athletes use hard-drive scooters in training and competition.

Skiing track

What it is? It’s easy to imagine what a ski-roller track is like, knowing the features of the roller skating device. This is an asphalt and, as a rule, looped path with a perfectly even coating. Such a coating is necessary, because the ski wheels, in contact with potholes and cracks on the asphalt, begin to vibrate very much, which leads to the inconvenience of the athlete and affects the life of the equipment, unless you have a model with inflatable wheels.

These paths are often winding, going from mountain to mountain. This allows you to increase the efficiency of the training process for athletes, and for lovers such a ski-roller track will add variety to the walk.

skiing track

With the increasing popularity of skiing, there is a need for specially equipped tracks. And every year there are more and more of them: it is dangerous to ride on roads, even on country roads, on pedestrian paths, however, athletes make it difficult to move freely.

New ski-roller tracks appear in parks, recreation centers, at ski resorts as training grounds in the snowless period. It is remarkable that they began to arrange them not only in large cities, but also in small provincial ones, which makes sports even more affordable.

Who rides

This question may seem inappropriate, but in fact it is relevant. The ski run is attractive not only for skiers. Lovers of roller skates, cyclists, runners and just pedestrians come here to train and walk. Here is a community gathering here.

There is nothing strange for Russia in this. They gather on specialized bicycle paths and somehow divide the space. But in Germany, for example, they try to protect ski-roller tracks from outsiders.

Odintsovo highway

The most popular ski-roller track located in the Podushkinsky forest park Lazutinskaya (Lazutinka). Odintsovo is a city where they remember that the initiator of its construction was the famous skier Larisa Lazutina. That’s the name that stuck to the track. And officially this is the Larisa Lazutina track , located in the Sports Park of the same name. The track was opened in 2002, it immediately attracted general attention.

There used to be an ordinary ski track, which turned into an asphalt track and now could be used in summer for skiing training. The length of the route is about six kilometers. There are many ascents and descents of varying difficulty. In general, the place is perfect. All that was needed was good lighting, which they also promised to restore. Then they decided to improve the track, reconstructed it and turned it into a European-style ski center. There were built cafes, changing rooms for athletes, toilets, a recreation area. We expanded the parking lot, repaired access roads.

On Lazutinka, competitions of skiers in winter and skiers in summer are regularly held, many of which are traditional.

ski-roller tracks in Moscow and Moscow region

True, now another problem has appeared for athletes. The track has turned into a mass walking place for locals with children, strollers, dogs. Unfortunately, most of them do not understand that during training, skiers reach speeds of up to 50 km / h, and walking here is not at all safe. As a result, training cannot be carried out at the proper level, because athletes are constantly forced to avoid collisions with walkers.

This is how the population currently exists with the hope that they have a great place for walking, and the athletes with the hope that the issue of full-fledged training without interference will somehow be solved.
