The name of Mark Griffiths has long been known only to a narrow circle of admirers of his talent. Increased public interest in the work of the director and screenwriter arose in 2012 in connection with his high-profile divorce from Gillian Anderson, the charming agent of Scully from The X-Files. But the films of Mark Griffiths deserve to talk about them separately from scandals in a social gathering.
The beginning of a cinematic career
Mark Griffiths, a graduate of Stanford and a studio school at the University of California, became the director of the comedy “Strong Body”, which was released in 1984. By then, he already had experience working on scripts for television series.
Two years later, Mark Griffiths writes a new story and shoots a continuation of the movie called “Strong bodies-2”. Having decided to pause in literary activity, he completely focuses on directing. A few years later, scripts for the films Ultraviolet, Hot Run and some others will be released from the pen of Griffiths.

Mark Griffiths: personal life
From 2006 to 2012, Griffiths had a love relationship with Gillian Anderson, who was familiar to the domestic audience in the lead role in the series The X-Files. Among the actors there were rumors about an imminent wedding, which was never destined to take place. By the time of separation, the couple grew up two joint sons Oscar and Felix.
The spouse chose not to disclose the reason for the break. However, foreign media rushed to accuse Anderson of lesbian addictions, which is why Mark Griffiths allegedly abandoned her, whose films before and after the divorce from Gillian were mostly devoted to love between a man and a woman.
Today, the director does not advertise episodes of his life outside the cinema and almost does not participate in social events. It is known that he, together with his wife, actress Louise Baker and two children lives in Vancouver (Canada).
