Large-caliber sniper rifle "Exhaust" was created in 2002. The development was carried out by state order of the security service of the Russian Federation.
Three years later, the “Exhaust” sniper rifle was first shown to all weapon lovers at a Moscow exhibition. It is known that a complex of this type of combat ammunition was created only for arming special forces of the FSB of Russia. The number of copies of the rifle is quite small. All performance characteristics were provided by the manufacturer and were detailed at the Interpolitech exhibition.
Rifle "Exhaust" is able to hit the enemy within a radius of 600 meters. Silent and flameless firing allows you to fight in any conditions. The lethal force of the fired bullet is capable of destroying protected targets and penetrating unarmored transport equipment. The use of cartridges with a high initial speed in combination with a specially designed silencer “dampens” the sound of the fired shot. Shooting from weapons is carried out by twelfth caliber bullets. The heavy weight of cartridges weighing up to 76 g significantly increases the lethal force of the rifle.
To use weapons, three types of cartridges are used: two of them give the pool increased accuracy and one increases the penetration ability. The variety and quality of ammunition characterizes it as a model that can stand on a par with Western counterparts.
The rifle "Exhaust" is equipped with a manual recharge mechanism. The shutter easily charges the weapon and locks itself with the rotation of the larva. A single-row box-shaped magazine is capable of holding five rounds. Sights are mounted in the upper part on the receiver, the optical sight allows you to fire with great accuracy at a great distance. Additionally, the weapon is equipped with a front sight and the whole.
An integrated silencer is perhaps one of the main advantages of weapons developers. The part is easily removable, this allows disassembling and cleaning the rifle in a short time. Transportation is carried out only in unassembled form.
Shooting in the prone position is carried out using a bipod. The “Exhaust” rifle, although it refers to a large-caliber weapon, but the recoil in the process of the shot is little noticeable. A convenient reload lever minimizes the time taken to prepare the next shot.
The designers developed a weapon capable of using large-caliber cartridges as ammunition, but the main goal was different: to significantly reduce the weight of the rifle compared to existing analogues. The total weight of the weapon was only 7 kg, given that the muffler itself weighs about two. With that weight, the Exhaust Rifle has a length of 795 millimeters.
The issue of mass production of weapons has remained open. A sniper rifle, created by a special order of the Russian security service, fully met the expected expectations, having proved its effectiveness in combat use.
