Peyring: what is it, where it meets and what happens

In the youth subculture, there are iconic films that generate entire generations of loyal fans. Fans of sensational blockbusters are not enough just to watch and revise their favorite films - sooner or later they begin to create their own works based on famous stories. Sometimes these are video clips “stuck together” from the best scenes of the film, sometimes drawings and collages depicting characters you like, often in situations that are not typical for these characters. However, most often fans write amateur literary stories - and sometimes entire novels, not inferior in terms of text volume and complexity of the plot to "serious" books. What is the talk about in such works? What does fan slang mean: Harmony, rating, paring? What is a crossover and Dramiona?

paring what is

"Harry Potter"

It is interesting that in the entire history of the existence of amateur literary works on the basis of film plots, it is the story of the Boy-Who-Lived that holds an undoubted record in the volume and number of fan fiction. It would seem that the world of Muggles and wizards, created by Joan Rowling, leaves little room for imagination: the main events of books and films unfold in the walls of the school for young magicians, and other locations are extremely small and poorly described. Nevertheless, fans confidently take up the pen and add additional situations to their beloved world, as if “forgotten” by the author, rewrite the fate of the characters and inhabit Hogwarts with heroes of their own composition (often written off from themselves or friends).

what's called peyring

Love stories

The most common word in the world of Harry Potter fans is Peyring. What is peyring and how does it affect the plot? This is literally a “couple,” or designation of the relationship of certain characters, driven by the fantasy of the author of the fanfiction. Romantic lines in amateur works very rarely follow the paths laid by Rowling: few people like that Hermione is marrying Ron, and Harry will marry Ginny. Instead, fans come up with situations in which the most unexpected heroes meet: Lucius Malfoy or the Dark Lord fall in love with Hermione, and Harry Potter decides to connect his life with Pansy Parkinson, a student at the Slytherin faculty. You can even guess the name of Peyring, in which romance blooms between Hermione and Draco. This is Dramiona. Interestingly, the fanfiction of love between Granger and her best friend Harry is collectively called Harmony.

Anime

The interest of youth (and representatives of older generations) in Japanese pop culture is not weakening. Fan fiction is based on both TV shows and full-length animes. However, many paintings leave not the strongest impressions after viewing, and therefore practically do not write their own stories on them. Among the anime-deprived ones are Blooming Youth, Hopeless Love, The Dark Side Blues, The Lost Universe, Sol Bianca, Gilgamesh, Bugipop Phantom and Strawberry Marshmallow. But the list of drawn worlds looks impressive, according to which amazing stories were written, written and written: Naruto, Bleach, Vanpeep, Tramp Kenshin, Detective Conan, Prince of Tennis, Soul Eater, "Shaman King", "Evangelion", "White Cross", "Gravity", "Code of Geass". And that’s not all. Just look at the obvious statistics: in fanfiction.net archive only 387 thousand fanfics on Naruto, 115 thousand on Inuyash, 113 thousand on Hetalia, 81 thousand on Bleach were collected .

fan fiction peering sakura

Of course, not all anime fans write - many just read other people's fanfiction. Peyring "Sakura / Sasuke", for example, is preferred by romantically inclined persons, and stories about the relationship between Gaara and Hinata or between members of the Akatsuki organization are those who like drama and intensity of passions.

"Game of Thrones"

The universe of brutal fantasy created by George Martin has won the hearts of thousands and millions of viewers around the world. It would seem that in this world the concept of “peyring” is inappropriate: what is the imagination of a naive fan compared to the scale of the events described by the author? But no, fans are actively encroaching on the feelings of other people's characters, adding color to the forbidden relations of the Lannisters and by the power of imagination bringing the last of the Targaryen family not with anyone, but with gloomy John Snow. I wonder how the writer himself would have looked at such a pairing.

What is a crossover? It is literally a mixture of two fictional universes. An interesting fact: if in the game of Thrones fan fiction is combined with the Avengers, you can safely wait for the Daenerys / Loki peyring.

characters and pairing figure skating

Real people

The life of celebrities is always in sight, and any personal events instantly become public. It got to the point that the authors of fan fiction began to write stories based on the life of real people - beloved (or, conversely, hated) singers, actors and public figures. Athletes were no exception. Real names and genuine (and sometimes fictitious) relationships turn into the concepts of “characters and pairing”, figure skating and synchronized swimming become “fan”, and especially explicit scenes are hidden under the warning: “High rating!”.

On the one hand, it seems that real people should not become the object of strange alien fantasies. On the other hand, this is one of the shortcomings of life "in public": the real personality in the eyes of the fans is almost no different from the invented character in the movie.
