Vyrypaev Ivan Alexandrovich hails from the northern region of Russia. He was born in August 1974 in the distant Irkutsk. Ivan's father, Alexander Nikolaevich Vyrypaev, is a teacher at the Irkutsk Pedagogical College, and his mother is a trade worker.
Acting education Ivan Vyrypaev received at the theater school of his hometown. In 1995, after graduation, the young man went to cold Magadan, where he learned the basics of the profession on the stage of the city theater. In parallel to the work, Vyrypaev taught the stage movement at the Art School of Magadan. A year later, he left for Kamchatka, where for two years he worked at

Here, Ivan Alexandrovich created his own theater studio "Space of the Game", on the stage of which in 1999 the premiere of his play "Dreams" took place. By the way, the author of the performance was Ivan Vyrypaev himself. The playwright’s plays were later presented to the theater audience in the productions of “The City Where I Am” (2000), “Valentine's Day” (2001), “Oxygen” (2002), “Genesis 2” (2004), “July” (2006) .
In addition to working in the theater, Vyrypaev took part in several television films. For example, in 2002, he played the role of Ivan Azovsky in the film "The Killer Diary", in 2006 - Guidon in the film "Bunker, or Scientists Underground."

Ivan Alexandrovich did not stop developing in the profession, but he wanted to go beyond the boundaries of the acting. For this, knowledge was needed, and in 1998 he entered the Shchukin School in the directing department. During his studies, the playwright continued to stage performances on the studio stage. He also taught acting students. And in 2001, fate gave Vyrypaev a happy chance - he was invited to Moscow to direct productions at the Center for the new play Theater Doc. The first success was not long in coming. In 2002, the metropolitan intelligentsia loudly discussed the play “Oxygen,” authored by aspiring director Ivan Vyrypaev. This period can be called the starting point in the activities of this multifaceted and uniquely talented person. Then there was a lot of interesting work, which required endurance, knowledge, experience.
Today, Ivan Aleksandrovich heads the agency of creative projects “Kislorod Movement”, whose functions include helping talented young people interested in art, in particular artists. The performances of the playwright Vyrypaev are known in European countries - his productions are interesting to spectators in England, the Czech Republic, Poland, Bulgaria, France. It is popular among students of GITIS, the Warsaw Academy of Theater Arts, and the Moscow Art Theater School. Since 2013, Vyrypaev has been the artistic director of the Praktika Theater.
Theater "Practice"
"Practice" is a special theater, not like a temple of art in the classical sense of the word. Created in 2005 by Eduard Boyakov, “Practice” has its own format. This means that there are some postulates according to which the theater lives. In particular, only the contemporary play is played on the Practices stage; the theater does not have its own troupe. And this is justified by the fact that the performances that are staged on the theater stage are very diverse. According to the artistic director Vyrypaev, sometimes it’s very difficult to get the character required in the role from the actor of the troupe. There are situations when the production of a play requires certain actors, people from the outside.
Ivan Alexandrovich already led the theater in 2006. However, he later decided to resign and leave for free bread. In his own words, it’s very difficult to manage, in principle, for this you need talent. Vyrypaev openly declares that building relationships with people, in particular with the troupe of the theater, is a difficult task, and he does not succeed. When in 2013 he received an offer to head the Practice, he hesitated for a long time. But nevertheless he accepted the offer of cooperation, since the theater is very dear to him, the very idea of ​​"Practice" is close. Vyrypaev is not going to change anything in the format of the theater, but will only continue to develop the established traditions.

And the key in this matter is the way of expressing the educational function from the scene, the method of influencing the viewer. According to Vyrypaev, his mission as a director and director is to create performances that will open the viewer to the world as it is - someone likes it or not. One cannot dislike or accept some phenomena, but one cannot deny them.
Vyrypaev considers the complete emancipation of man, his openness to the new, as the key task on the path to cognizing the world and living in harmony with it. This must be learned. The playwright argues that it is necessary to strive to be free and try to squeeze out a slave - a habit of living in fear, embedded in the memory of ancestors, which is inherited from generation to generation. The secret of success is to learn to live in harmony: not only take, but also give, smile at oneself and others, exist according to the laws of the universe, open your heart. It is important to recognize others as others, to try to understand and hear each other. And in this quest, art is a powerful weapon.
The film "Salvation" - nominee for "Kinotavr"
The works of Ivan Vyrypaev have been repeatedly awarded at international festivals ("Kinotavr", "Golden Lion Cub"). He more than once became the laureate of various awards (Golden Mask, Triumph). Ivan Alexandrovich was recognized in 2009 as the best playwright of Germany.
The most recent work of Vyrypaev - the film "Salvation" - in June 2015, became the laureate of the Russian film festival "Kinotavr". According to the playwright and film director, the festival is a great opportunity to be seen by the audience. Vyrypaev is glad that all his films (except for “Delhi Dance”) participated in “Kinotavr”. The last work of the director, the picture "Salvation", is very unusual. The idea of ​​the film arose when Vyrypaev learned that there is a temple in the mountains of Tibet in which a Catholic priest conducts services, and the parishioners are Tibetans. It turned out that this is a common Catholic practice - it has missions around the world.
The unprofessional actress Polina Grishina, raised in an Orthodox monastery, was chosen to play the main character of the film (nuns). The essence of the film is that the balance in the modern world can be achieved only through the acquaintance of cultures with each other and their mutual penetration. Today, more and more people are eager to leave Russia. Vyrypaev, on the contrary, plans to stay here and raise the culture of his native state. He says that he loves Russia very much, and although many things are unpleasant for him, he is not going to leave this beautiful country, he said.
