Our country is a powerful military power, and defense spending is allocated sufficient to ensure that the defense industry develops. The authorities are trying to ensure that the funds go not only to military developments, but also the monetary allowance of the military also gradually increased. This also includes military pensions, which are indexed with sufficient regularity, although not in a very large amount.
Who is applying for a military pension?
In our country there are several categories of citizens applying for the payment of military pensions. These are employees of the federal security service , prosecution bodies, internal affairs bodies , customs services, the FSIN, and the ministry of defense.
A pension is accrued only if the military experience in the army has reached twenty years. In this situation, a person can retire at any age.
Those servicemen who served on the territory of warfare or in difficult conditions (for example, in the Arctic) will receive certain benefits that increase the amount of pension payments.

Accrual of payments to military pensioners
Payments to military retirees are assigned in accordance with Federal Law No. 166 and Federal Law No. 4468-1. Military disability pensions depend on the size of social pensions, but should not be less than 130% of its size.
Salaries are set by the federal authorities, and pension payments are calculated from them. Under existing law, all payments that are assigned to military personnel are indexed every year. Planned increases in pensions for military pensioners and recalculation of payments are made in October each year.

The expected inflation rate for the current year, according to experts, should not exceed 5%. This will increase the contentment of military personnel by approximately 5.5%. Reduction factor
In accordance with Russian law, a reduction factor of 54% was determined for all military pensioners. This norm applies to employees of the federal security service, internal affairs agencies, the ministry of defense, and the federal penitentiary service.

It is considered ineffective to retire citizens of 40-45 years of age. Such a measure will make it possible to use military personnel more rationally, and distribute pension payments with greater efficiency.
The authorities also say that today the government is faced with the task of bringing the size of pensions for civil pensioners to two living wages (16,400 rubles). This indirectly confirms that this year the increase in pensions for military pensioners is unlikely to happen.
