Plot of the film
The plot of the melodrama is based on the story of one rather successful businessman Ivan. The hero gives himself completely to work, because of which he does not have time for his own wife and daughter. Once, Ivan meets with his sibling Egor, whom they had not seen for a long time. It turns out that Yegor’s wife is Marina, just like the wife of our protagonist, Vera, is pregnant, and that the girls will give birth at about the same time.
Then a terrible tragedy occurs in the family, which literally divided the lives of young people into before and after. A terrible accident occurs in which Vera, Yegor and Marina’s child die. Marina does not find a place, going crazy with grief. The girl lost her husband. Doctors in every way conceal the fact that a woman lost her child. The tragedy rallied Ivan and Marina.
Ivan makes a difficult decision to give his newly born son to Marina, arranging everything as if it were her child. The girl is completely unaware of his intentions. Only Ivan himself knows this secret. Relations between him and Marina are beginning to develop rapidly. And, it would seem, the life of both begins to go uphill, to improve. But then it turns out that Ivan’s wife - Vera - still survived that terrible accident.
All the actors coped with their task perfectly and very accurately conveyed the characters and emotions of their heroes, were able to convincingly show the viewer the whole tragedy of the situation that happened, shown in the series “In grief and in joy”.
