Characters "Dunno and His Friends": the story of the 1971 cartoon
For the first time, an animated film about Dunno was released in 1959. It was entitled "Exactly at three fifteen." Then there were the short films “Dunno learns”, “Cog and Shpuntik - funny masters”, made in the form of sketchy sketches from the life of the Flower City. In 1971, finally, a cartoon was released in which all the characters in Dunno were collected. The picture was called "The Adventures of Dunno and His Friends." The cycle was made using puppetry and included 10 mini-films. The plot of the animated picture was attended not only by Dunno himself, but also by his many friends: Znayka, Gunka, Pilyulkin, Vintik, Shpuntik, etc. The cartoon is now rarely broadcast on central television, it can only be seen on the Internet.

However, residents of the Flower City refused to take Dunno with them to the Moon. He caused them too much trouble. Then Dunno secretly crept aboard the ship with his friend Donut. Having accidentally started the mechanism, two friends went to the moon without Znayka and other shorties. From this moment, the turbulent adventures of Dunno on an unfamiliar planet begin.
Dunno and Znayka - antagonist characters
The characters of “Dunno” seriously differ from each other: each of the characters has a special appearance, its own specialization and interests. However, the main characters and antagonists in this story always remain Dunno and Znayka. The first is a rogue in bright yellow trousers and a blue wide-brimmed hat. He likes to participate in various messes, constantly provokes stupid situations. Dunno can be described as a shorty with great potential and quick wits, but an absolute reluctance to learn and accustom himself to discipline. This is not to say that the hero is stupid. He is simply ignorant, therefore everything turns out to be awry.
Another thing is Znayka. He is the exact opposite of Dunno. Always assembled, thoughtful and responsible not only for himself, but also for others. Znayka is an informal leader among the shorty Flower City. He always knows what needs to be done in a given situation, and sequentially leads the process. Sometimes shorty’s learning turns into boring, but the hero is also quite capable of spontaneous actions. Over the course of all cartoons, clashes between Dunno and Znayka constantly occur. It cannot be otherwise, because they look at this world differently
Residents of the Flower City
Characters "Dunno" are not limited to only two main characters. At various points in the story, adventures and other shorties come to the fore. For example, one of the main characters in the movie “Dunno on the Moon” is a Donut - a fat man who constantly dreams of food and feels hunger. Close to Dunno in Flower City lives his close friend Gunka. This shorty walks in old, tattered clothes. In his free time, it is not clear what.
But a short guy by the name of Pilyulkin is engaged in a very specific profession. This is the main healer in the Flower City. True, he treats all diseases exclusively with castor oil. It should be noted Vintik and Shpuntik. This funny duet is perhaps the most hardworking in the whole city. Masters constantly construct, create, plan, saw and repair. The inhabitants of the moon
Brand new characters are featured in the movie Dunno on the Moon. The characters Julio, Kozlik, Scuperfield are the indigenous sleepwalkers. The first hero is an unclean businessman, an arms dealer. Together with him, a corrupt policeman Migle participates in the development of events. Scooperfield is a local millionaire, a terrible miser, and also stupid. Goat - literally "scapegoat". This is an honest lunatic who constantly suffers because of his decency.

In the book of Nosov, two more cities are mentioned, the inhabitants of which appear in animated films about Dunno. In the Sunny City, for example, live engineer Klepka, as well as scientists Herring and Fuchsia. In the Green City you can meet the doctor Medunitsa, the poetess Samotsvetik and the agronomist Solomka.
