Midfielder Ivan Soloviev: biography of a football player

Russian midfielder Ivan Solovyov has become one of the most discussed Zenit transfers, moving to the camp of the five-time national champion. However, having played only one match for the main team, the midfielder disappeared from the fans' field of vision. In order to find out where Ivan Solovyov is playing now, just go through the pages of his biography.

Dynamo school

The beginning of the football career of a native of Kaluga took place in the Moscow school "Dynamo", where he came after grade 10. In the youth team, despite the late start, Ivan Solovyov quickly found a place for himself, becoming one of the key players, and also receiving the rank of vice captain. Such a rapid growth of the midfielder was noticed in the coaching staff of the basics of Muscovites, and in 2012 the midfielder was several times declared for the match. The player’s debut took place at the end of October - in the framework of the Cup of Russia, the midfielder replaced in the second half of the meeting against the Khimki club near Moscow. For the allotted half an hour of the game, young Ivan Solovyov managed to score a yellow card and an assist, which led to the winning goal of the “blue and white”.

Such a successful start was appreciated by the mentor of “Dynamo” Dan Petrescu, who began to regularly attract the player to the matches of the main team. As a result, having played in 13 games as part of the 2012/2013 season, Ivan Solovyov managed to score one goal, bringing victory in the derby with Lokomotiv (1: 0), and also making two assists in a successful game against Rubin (3 : 0). A promising midfielder looked for himself, “Zenith”, and even during the season agreed with the club on the transfer of the player.

Relocation to St. Petersburg

In early August 2013, Ivan Solovyov, a football player without extensive experience playing behind him, moved to the camp of the vice-champion of Russia. The press reacted with great interest to this event. The question of journalists was not related to the cost of the transition - the player went to Zenit for free, but related to the goals of the St. Petersburg club regarding the young player. As the further fate of Soloviev showed, the team had practically no plans for him - for the entire first half of the season the midfielder played the basis only once, having replaced the Russian Cup match against Tyumen.

The second part of the season, Soloviev went to finish the game in Perm “Amkar”, where he was supposed to receive game practice. But the character of the football player and his mood did not suit the Perm coach Stanislav Cherchesov, because of which the midfielder appeared on the field only three times, leaving less than half an hour. Solovyov spent the whole of 2015, speaking exclusively for the youth squad, he could not get closer to the main team. In 2016, the coaching staff decided to send the player on loan to the Finnish Lahti, where he spent 12 futile matches and returned to St. Petersburg, where his contract with the club ended, which neither he nor Zenit were going to extend.

Lowering to FNL

After the contract with “Zenith”, Ivan Solovyov quickly found a new club, having signed a contract with the Voronezh “Torch”, where he still performs. In the new club, playing in the league below, the midfielder began to receive the long-awaited game practice, but failed to score anything outstanding for the season - for 11 matches in the “blue and white” Ivan gave one assist and earned one yellow card.

According to Solovyov himself in an interview that he gave shortly after leaving Zenit, the transition to the team from St. Petersburg was a mistake, he advised the young players not to follow his example. Nevertheless, the midfielder does not mind returning to the former club after a while to prove his worth. In the meantime, Ivan is trying to help “Fakel” cling to transitional matches in the FNL - according to the results of the first part of the season, the Voronezh club is 5th.
