One of the high-profile television premieres of 2015 is the crime series Leningrad 46. Actors and roles performed by them in the frame captivated the audience, made them follow the course of events with interest for several weeks. Who worked on the new serial hit and what artists were involved in the project?
The creators of the series
"Leningrad 46", the actors and roles of which transferred us to the post-war Soviet years, was shot in the genre of crime drama by Igor Kopylov. Igor Sergeyevich began his directorial career by shooting separate episodes for popular TV shows like “Mongoose-2” and “Streets of Broken Lights-7”. A full-fledged debut took place in 2006, when Kopylov independently directed a 4-episode drama with Anna Snatkina entitled “Where Happiness Lives”. Subsequently, the director made many more films, but Leningrad 46 remains the most famous.
Actors and roles, plot - all this was carefully thought out personally by Igor Kopylov. He took part in writing the script, and Andrei Tumarkin (Nevsky), Elena Strogalyova (Rock Climber) and Vladimir Izmailov (Best Enemies) were piling over the event series.
Behind the camera was Dmitry Plyusnin, who also shot the serial action movie Detective, the drama Team and the crime film Provincial. The music for “Leningrad 46” was written by Darin Sysoev, who was engaged in dubbing the series “Love Network” and “Alien Nest”.

The actors and the roles that they got in the series were supposed to convey to the viewer the complexity of this historical period, the cruelty of a system that destroyed destinies. So the main character - a Russian language teacher by the name of Danilov - did not escape a bitter fate and was crushed by the events that happened to him.
He went to the front as a volunteer, but due to being in German captivity, he was transferred to the penal battalion. After such a turn, it’s hard to keep a good name. The main character returns home, to his native Leningrad, in the hope of continuing to live a familiar life. But it turns out that he no longer has a family, and work too. A chain of accidents leads a former intellectual to the very heart of the criminal world of post-war Peter. Using his mind and ingenuity, Danilov becomes in a sense an authority among bandits. And he is opposed by a kind of sharp and self-confident "Zheglov", only this time he serves in the St. Petersburg UGRO and his name is Yuri Rebrov.

Sergey Garmash was born in Kherson (Ukraine). In his veins flows Russian, Ukrainian and even Polish blood.
In his youth, the future artist was expelled several times from school for disgusting behavior. Nevertheless, Sergey Leonidovich should not be persistent: at first he studied at a theater school in the city of Dnepropetrovsk, then he managed to work in a puppet theater and serve several years in the Soviet Army. After such a track record, the actor was not too lazy to go to Moscow and once again pass the exciting entrance exams, but already to the capital's theater university. In the end, the guy was admitted to the Moscow Art Theater School, and then enrolled in the troupe of the Sovremennik Theater.
Sergey Leonidovich began acting in films back in 1984. At the start of his film career, he even managed to knock out the role of Tomilin in the then popular TV series “Experts are Conducting Investigations”. But the late 80s - early 90s were not the best times for Russian cinema. The actor continued to act, but did not have to dream of popular glory.
The popularity came to the artist along with the role of Korotkov in the television series "Kamenskaya". At that time, Garmash was already 42 years old. Since then, he has played many major roles in various projects, including the film “Leningrad 46”.
