Even our very distant ancestors noticed that Lake Baikal was endowed with unusual features and properties, due to which it was considered sacred. Now around this fantastically beautiful reservoir there are the best resorts of Buryatia. Fortunately or not, in many places the shores of Lake Baikal are so impregnable that not all have been mastered by civilization. While those who come here have a lot of options, what kind of vacation they should choose, at one of the camp sites: where everything will be almost at home or without the usual amenities, but directly in nature.
In this regard, the residents of Ulan-Ude were especially lucky, since only two hours drive from the capital of Buryatia is the village and one of the most famous resorts of the republic, Goryachinsk. Location
In a place convenient enough from the point of view of transport hubs, the Goryachinsk resort is located. Buryatia, unfortunately, cannot yet boast of a highly developed communication infrastructure, but to Goryachinsk and further in the direction of Barguzin, the P438 regional road was passable in summer and winter. According to it, from the resort to Ulan-Ude a little more than 175 km, and to the village of Turk - only 7 km. Another large Siberian city located relatively close to Goryachinsk is Irkutsk. In a straight line through the forest and the lake, it is only 282 km away, but along the highway the distance is almost doubled and equal to 543 km, or nearly 13 hours (taking into account the condition of local roads).
How to get there
The sanatorium "Goryachinsk" the most optimal way - from the capital of Buryatia. You can arrive in this city by plane or train. Next, take a taxi or minibus to the Yuzhny bus station (Selenga), from where regular buses depart towards the resort. They are all passing. Bus number 301 goes to the village of Maksimikha, where there is also a recreation area, and bus number 302 goes in the Ust-Barguzinsky direction. Travel time to Goryachinsk takes about 2.5 hours.
Car enthusiasts are also easiest to get to the resort from Ulan-Ude, for which you need to go to the Barguzinsky tract (P438). The road leads for some time past settlements through the forest, and after the village of Gremyachinsk stretches along Lake Baikal.
Fans of boat trips in the summer can get to Goryachinsk by boat. From Severobaikalsk they will have to overcome almost 300 km, but the trip will be immediately and a guided tour through the entire Baikal. In winter, extremals travel to Goryachinsk from Severobaykalsk directly on the ice.
Resort infrastructure
Holidays in Goryachinsk is always an event, even if you come here every weekend. The village itself is small - just a few streets. Despite its modest size, Goryachinsk has a well-developed tourism business.
