Little Groot was born on Planet X, where the tree creature race lived. He knows only one phrase in the language of people, but this does not prevent him from understanding his comrades. For them, the hero remains the best friend who will always come to the rescue. For the first time, he appeared on the screen with the Rocket, and it was this raccoon that was always the closest creature for him. The circumstances of their acquaintance are not indicated, but they have been working together for a long time. This is evidenced by the level of understanding between creatures. Groot says only his signature phrase, but what he wants to say is that the Rocket always knows. Often a partner translates his emotions to the rest of the team.
Prehistory to rebirth
Little Groot only became so after the events shown in the first Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. When all five members, including Gamora, Drax and Quill, gathered to escape from Kiln prison, they were united into a team known to all comic book lovers. The final battle against Ronan was fierce and took place right on the ship of the main antagonist. As a result, the ship began to fall, which threatened imminent death for all heroes. Groot decided to sacrifice himself to protect his associates. The missile did not want to allow this, but the character firmly replied “we are Groot”, which proved his kinship with everyone in the group. From his body, the hero created a special shield, which acted as armor when the ship hit the surface. Everyone survived, but it shattered into pieces, which then signified death. The rocket took a small piece of wood and planted it in a pot on its ship. From this sprout, Little Groot emerged.
Childhood
The superhero kid wanted to continue to be a member of the team. That is why he was taken with him on every mission, although he most often became an obstacle than an assistant. The Allies in every possible way took care of him, because his children's actions aroused concern. In the second film Guardians of the Galaxy, Little Groot is captured along with Yondu and the Rocket to the Devastators. They mocked him as a group, and at night they put him in a bird cage. A smart kid slipped out and ran to his comrades. They tried to explain that they needed to bring a special module to control the yondu arrow, which was taken from him by the head of the group on the ship. The kid began to bring items one by one, but he could not get the necessary things. Kraglin came to the rescue, who rescued all of them from captivity. When the final battle came, it was Groot who destroyed the brain center of the planet Ego. He understood all the instructions of the Rocket, even though the raccoon was afraid that he would do everything wrong.
Kind and character

Little Groot is cute, kind and responsive as a child, although he showed his anger at those who tortured him in captivity on the ship.
