The future Russian theater and film actress was born on February 24, 1956 in the village of Bzagash in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The girl's early acting abilities showed up, and therefore it was no surprise when, after school, she made a firm decision to go to conquer the Northern capital.

In 1975, Natalia Fomenko entered LGITMiK, where she studied in the class of L.A. Dodina and A.I. Katzman.

After graduation in 1979, the young actress was sent to Tomsk Youth Theater for distribution, where she worked until 1983. Then Natalya Fomenko returned to Leningrad, where she became a member of the Youth Theater troupe and worked in the Lenconcert.

The next place of service of the actress was the Leningrad Small Drama Theater, on the stage of which she played many roles.
