How to quickly cure a runny nose with the very first signs of a cold

As soon as you feel the first symptoms of a cold in the form of a runny nose, but there is still no abundant discharge from the nose, take a bath of hot water at night, and immediately after that attach to the heels of mustard and keep for 1.5-2 hours. Instead of mustard plaster, you can take a pepper patch - it can generally be worn without removing until 48 hours. In addition, it is recommended to finely chop several cloves of garlic, put on a platter and, leaning over it, inhale its smell alternately with one or the other nostril. Exhale through the mouth. 1. Before you apply any of the following recipes, blow your nose well.

How to get rid of a runny nose: nose drops

Onion juice. Grate the onion and squeeze the juice. Mix a drop of juice with a tablespoon of boiled water and drip the solution into your nose hourly.

Essential oils. Menthol, eucalyptus or fir oil diluted with vegetable oil, instill 3-5 drops in each nostril.

Honey solution. Dilute natural honey with warm water (not more than 40 degrees) in a ratio of 1: 2. Instill 6-8 drops at least 4 times a day in each nasal passage.

Inhalation. This method is very effective in dealing with the common cold, especially with asthmatic components. For inhalation, you can use infusions of coltsfoot, plantain, eucalyptus, pine buds, as well as a mixture of retinol, eucalyptus, anise or peach oils. It is very important during such procedures to spare the nasal mucosa, so concentrated aromatic oils should be diluted with vegetable oil.
